That is why I prefer teflon tape over pipe dope. I have used both and teflon tape does better for me and I have less issues with it.

Drove down in the Jeep. I don't know what it is with I-95 in South Carolina, but for some reason there is stand still traffic that just clears up at the Georgia state line...

Seriously Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville and Charlotte all had good traffic but middle of nowhere SC was a parking lot...

Otherwise, while we were down there we had a great time!

I'm using both on water npt fittings. No tape on black gas pipe fittings. Only dope.

get one of those little water alarm thingy and put it in the tray. it takes a 9v battery. this will go off when water is detected. i can take a pic if you want to see what i'm talking about.

For metal piping that's not potable water, Loctite 545 thread sealant is the way to go.
