Is there a locking fuel door that will fit a 392? Not a locking gas cap, but the actual outer door?

I heard that the 392 outer fuel door might be a slightly different size than other JL's? Is that true? If so the standard locking JL gas doors will not fit properly. Anyone had any luck fitting a locking fuel door?

Come on...it's a 392! You know there won't be much fuel left in the tank for anyone to steal anyways. :giggle:

But seriously that is a good question. I haven't heard about it having a different size fuel door. I have been looking for a completely smooth fuel door, myself. All I can find are ones that fit the JK:

I believe the 4xe has a gas cap that opens via a button below the headlight. I'd love to see this adapted to other models.

That's crazy. Why wouldn't the button be near the rear of the Jeep, near the fuel inlet?

You press it as you get out of the jeep. The fuel tank needs 10 seconds to depressurize before filling anyway.

Oh, that post said it was under the headlight, I envisioned it UNDER THE HEADLIGHT. He must've meant under the headlight switch.

Haha, yes, under the headlight switch
LOL. Yes, under the switch :)

FWIW, I was told by the dude that runs Threedom, he is thinking about working on a retrofit project. Look for more on that at some point (on the JT forum)
