can you share a link? I used the waterproof one with the cap as well, and also do not like how far it sticks out.

not my Jeep, but I put solar on the hood of my Bud's JLUR yesterday. Wired the solar controller in the passenger foot well by the seat.
Was it the Cascadia system? I've got one myself, and it's been great, but it comes with caveats unmentioned. I.e. don't fold down the windshield, and don't flip the hood all the way up and back. Inform your buddy.

Installed a 2.5" lift and a Mohave skid plate. I think I'll probably bedliner the plate.

With the lift I also installed both front and rear Steinjager adjustable track bars.

I got new shoes and socks on her. I wanted to get 37" KM3's but they are semi permanently backordered so I went with 37" KO2's in Load Range C. The wheels are American Outlaw Lonestars from Discount Tire. I can't wait to get them dirty!

I think you'll be thrilled with those and they will surprise you as to how well they'll do in the mud. I'll bet they ride nicely, too!

Well, one step forward and two backwards...I finally got around to installing JCR Crusader sliders on my Rubi 2-door, took them (it) out of the box only to find they not only just sent one side (and NO hardware) but sent that one for a 4-door! I am sure Quadratec will take care of it but dang...

Forgot to post picture earlier...

UPDATE:
I contacted Quadratec today and they are issuing an RA for the single 4-door JCR Crusader...Sadly, JCR has discontinued these for the 2-door JL:mad: Maybe all us 2-door owners should drop JCR a note...

I will say these things are extremely well build, heavy as hell and I do not see how you damage them off road without totaling your JL! They could however do a much better job on powder coat-since these are also used as a step, a heavy texture coat (at least on the step portion) would be much than a smooth coat...

I cant imagine it being that big of an issue if one is careful. The solar panel isn't made of glass.

They are definitely quieter and ride better than my worn out KM3's :like:

This is something I did a while ago but I'm loving it! It's the Oracle Sidetrack LED light. It illuminates the side of the Jeep when you unlock the Jeep and acts as a turn signal when changing lanes which is a great safety factor.

Also, we swapped the stock rubicon decals on our other JL, a sarge green diesel, for all black outline letters instead. My wife and I weren’t a fan of the Christmas theme going on with all the red accents. Also replaced the Jeep badges and trail rates badge to all black as well.
