I know that no one from Jeep corporate actually reads these threads or browses this site (Jeep Cares doesn’t count). But I HATE HATE HATE the key fob

I have spoken.

I bought a Threedom Model M key FOB case recently. I love that thing.

Jeep went off the reservation on their FOB. I know it's just a small inconvenience, but why create an inconvenience for your customers? It's been clear since the first model year of the JL that overwhelmingly more people don't like it than like it. Why disregard your customers?

They're currently replacing COMPLETE RUBICON AXLES because a $20 sensor is failing. Lol. Business prowess isn't high on the list methinks.

Yeah, it's probably a $2 part a their level, if they could get them. Some FCA contracts admin is probably just turning the screws on Dana over this to push them toward a permanent solution.

But I was just thinking, the OP hasn't had his JL long if he just has one thing he doesn't like. :CWL:

Ya, as no one can even get the company to respond, we really don't know the cost. Lol.

It was a bit of an adjustment coming from the Tesla card/phone key system but I don't notice how massive the key is anymore

Did you get 2 key fobs when you picked up the jeep? I hear folks only get one sometimes.....
The payload and interior space won’t allow for both to be picked up at the same time.

I like how it fits between the two front cup holders. Wish more car companies made a designated spot for the fob to sit while you drive.
That’s where my garage door opener goes. Absolute perfect fit.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
I dunno, I like it and IMO this is like down in the dust particle bin of things that would cause an issue in my life. A rear main seal that's prone to leak, now that's something that's a bit higher up in that bin.

Yeah, jeep has a custom fit compartment for the FOB. Open the tailgate, lift up the carpet panel. It's a tight fit though.
