Some of you have clearly never priced out 1 ton axles. $20k in axles, $5k in wheels and tires, $3-5k in suspension, custom fenders, bumpers, sliders. You’re easily at $40k just in parts on top of a $60k+ rig. If you add in labor a build like that will cost you $120k easy.

I glow in the dark!
I wonder what a recovery like that costs?

A snorkel and not Stopping in the deep water would have pretty much prevented all damage. Should have spent the $101k I guess.
Was gonna say that too. No snorkel to be seen. I've been in deeper when I had my Nissan xterra. But at least I had a snorkel when it was over the hood.

I wonder what caused him to stop?

100%, the snorkel would have kept him in the game.
Looking at the recovery, he obviously sucked in some water going in, and then it leveled out. Too late by then, the motor is toast. Valves and pistons at a minimum, but probably just put a long block in it and he's back on the road.

Just watched the video...

Did he look pretty clean? Did he have a change of clothes? Because if that was my jeep I'd be a mess trying to get it out

I’m just trying to figure out how he died. Guess he sucked in water. I’ve been in water that high and never seemed an issue.

Could have had any number of electrical component failures when that deep in.
If you have the money to spend on that toy, you’ve got the money to fix it. Oh well.
