Yes. It is a very good policy. I have it on my Daughters SRT Jeep. It has replaced Carbon Fiber pieces along with other misc issue repairs. Never a question.

I purchased the MaxCare, 8 yr, $200 deductible , from the same website a couple weeks ago for my 2018 JL. Coming up on 3 years next month, with just under 19,000 miles.

I thought it was a good deal for peace of mind. Everything is ligit. The extended coverage shows up on my Jeep app. Last week I had the JL in for a PCM software update and had the service writer confirm the 8 year warranty shows up in their system.

Just remember the 8 year/ 100,000 is from the In Service date ; so actually 5 year/64,000 mile warranty once the 3/36 factory is done. Having said that, I'll probably get the same this Spring, when my 3/36 is up.

I wonder if you can upgrade it. It's tempting to just buy the 8 year/85k mile warranty, since I really don't drive that much. Heck I probably could get away with the 8 year/60k mile one and save $200 lol. It says $1190 for 8/85k with a $200 deductible. The $0 deductible is another $800 (so 4 warranty repairs to make it worth it). The $100 deductible is another $115 so it basically pays for itself the first time.

Hmm. Yeah that's tempting. Luckily I have some time to think about it!

Only you can answer whether it is worth it or not. Warranties are very subjective.
Personally, I drive too much not to have one. Coming up on 2yrs on my JLR and have 55K miles. Never used and fine with that to continue.
My wife's 2018 Ram 2500 is driven even more(137K miles). Warranty used twice(rear end and transmission) so paid for itself and then some.

so actually 5 year/64,000 mile warranty
Thank you @four low , that's exactly right. I've wondered why nobody ever states that when someone asks about the extended warranty.

I just purchased the 8/85 last week. Normally, I don't care for extended warranties, but this is a Mopar warranty and should show up with the service department. One break/fix with the head unit or anything with the 4-wheel drive and the warranty will pay for itself.

I bought it for peace of mind since my old JK became very expensive after the warranty expired.

That is true. When I bought my Jeep, the salesperson suggested I'd break even just replacing the radio. I kinda blew that off because by the time the radio breaks, I imagine there will be a better aftermarket option anyway.

Tough part: 2 years later and I still like the radio as-is!

Still, I get the impression the rear locker sensor on the Rubicon is a matter of when, not if.. so that's probably where one would break even.

I noticed Zeigler has a +$200-ish option where you get a full refund if you reach the end of the warranty without using it. I'm not sure if that's baked into the maxcare options, or just a dealer option. They are another company that sells them - higher prices, but then they have coupons that bring the price down below what chryslerwarrantydirect charges... CWD is really good and cheap too though!

with mine being a DD, i put 20k miles a year on it. i need higher mileage, not time.

they offer an "unlimited miles" option, but not on the wrangler :(

i thought about getting just the Powertrain Plus warranty, but it's the extra stuff in the Maximum Care column that's going to die.

Jeep Wrangler JL Mopar Maximum Care. Good deal? extended_warranty

and as i'm planning on keeping this thing at least 10 years, i'm probly going to go with the 8/125:

8 Years/125,000 Miles
Vehicle Mileage:
24,000 - 36,000 Miles
Deductible:
$100.00
Price:
$3,505.00

not a bad deal. with previous vehicles, i've paid more for less.

Who quoted you that price? It seems rather high. Check with Tom Winkels (quick google search) before you buy anything. He saved me $1,500 off what my local dealer wanted for the exact same MaxCare warranty that he sold me.
