Jeep site is showing a new 2018 Wrangler Unlimited price of $30,445! This looks like it’s going to be the JLU base pricing.

The 2018 JKU is still showing the $27,895 pricing.

This is a $2,550 price increase, which is close to the original expected $2,500 increase. What are we getting for the extra $50?

Here are the screenshots. Front page of Jeep.com shows $30,445:

And when you go to the Wrangler Unlimited Build & Price, the base JK Sport model shows price of $27,895:

Good find! Just as expected. Glad the site predicted a $2500 increase. Less sticker shock for us here :)

Ooof. $30k for a car with no power locks, no automatic transmission and no roof. :cwl:

Let's just hope they didn't increase the price of all the options. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

These prices are for the curent model, the new one will maybe tag as a 2019 ?

No. 2018 JKU pricing was already previously announced and it didn't change from 2017.

And it's been confirmed many times over that the JL will start as a 2018 (so yes there will be both 2018 JL and JK models). :headbang:

So that would put the JLUR starting at $39,995.

You're absolutely right... 30k for a CAR equipped that way would be ridiculous...
Now a JEEP on the other hand... hmmmm...

So $30,445 plus $995 delivery brings it to $31,440. Add the automatic +tax and you're over $35k damn...

Delivery is $1095 now. So for a bone stock jeep with no power windows, soft top, and manual, you are looking at $31,540. I have a feeling the JL is going to become very pricey very quickly with any added options

If options stay the same price, adding a hard top, auto trans, plus tax would make it almost 38k in the Chicagoland area where tax is 10%. Add a few more options, and you would be well into the 40s for a sport...

I expect my fully loaded diesel JLU or JT (whichever I choose when I finally make up my mind) to be around $50K MSRP.

How much the "Options" go up is key ; I feel an axle ratio of your choice "should" be zero up-charge, not the $700 it currently is. Since the price point is $2500 more, tacking on absurd increases to basic upgrades is pricing it out of so called "Entry Level". The Silver Lining is that our JKs just got their Resale and Trade-In boosted.

and that's for the sport... ouch... looking like the Rubi is going to probably be out of reach for me then... I am still going to wait for the JT, but was hoping I could get it in a Rubicon trim... sticker shock! lol

I just can't believe the price of the "basic utilitarian" Jeep Wrangler is going to be higher than the Grand Cherokee. Add the Hurricane 4 cylinder and automatic and you're way over the GC. Give me a stripped model with rubber floor liners and vinyl seats for under $30k.
