Dusk update. The winch plate is in via 4 bolts and a bunch of zip ties per instructions. Spacer plate and winch are bolted to the winch plate. Works suspended due to dark. We resume tomorrow and start on the electrical.
did you finish?

I'll be installing my Warn VR Evo 10s on the Warn winch mount plate this weekend and was wondering if it's true that the skid plate holes will need to be elongated. I've read on some posts that it's not necessary. Was wondering what was trick - keep everything lose and then tighten once the skid plate has been properly aligned or??

I tried to install mine without elongation them, but after quite a while and almost crossthreading a couple bolts, I took it off and ground the back holes a little bigger to get it installed. The ones that have been able to, their holes might have just been within the right tolerances to fit. Mine weren't, unfortunately.

Some have suggested that you have to keep everything super lose and push on the skid plate to make the holes line up. Perhaps even inserting a large screw driver in the adjacent holes and prying until the bolt hole lines up with the welded nut. Seems like the skid plate may have a bit of spring flex to it where it curves!

I'll find out this weekend when i give this a whirl...

It's easiest if you elongate the holes a 1/4" or so.

i may just go that route as well. I installed my winch over the weekend but cannot get the f'ing skid plate to align. Do you have a picture on how you elongated the rear holes so it fits?

Sorry, not one handy at the moment.

Slot it towards the rear of the vehicle, you only need to go 1/4", maybe 3/8" max.

For those installing the Zeon - did it fit between the frame rails?

I installed the Zeon 12-S using the warm winch plate and the factory steel bumper and it fit no problems. Just had to elongate a couple holes in the skid plate for it to bolt back up because of the winch plate thickness that pushed the bumper out.

Gotcha - my plan was to use the Warn Plate and Mopar bumper.

Now do I spend the extra $$ for the Zeon, or stay with the VR...?
