And today:
I drove to our local VFD to take advantage of their final chicken BBQ of the season, parking next to a comically tall (and stock) GMC. The pictures don't really capture the actual difference in vehicle heights.
At 6'4", I'm not short, but I certainly felt so standing next to that truck-on-stilts. Why the race to the clouds? Perhaps this is why sissy steps (their nickname in the trades) are increasingly evident on tailgates: how else will one make the ascent?
