I have the Willys on Sarge green, and I love it. To me it is what a wrangler should look like. I am considering the 1941 decal for the hood. Thoughts?

I too have a special kind of love for the 4xe 2 tone especially against Gecko. 😍

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the Gecko with the 4xe details (hood decal, blue, those wheels) looks plain awesome! I love my yellow one, and this is the only one I've seen that makes me say 'hmmm, this might have been even better'.

I like the hood decals. I especially like the way the 4Xe blue pops on the Sting Gray. IMHO it looks flat/boring without.

100%. Looks awesome. The front of the Rubicon from the mirror forward: Jeep absolutely nailed the design, from the shapes, to the details, to the colors on both the regular and the 4xe.

Mine is going in to get some paint repairs this week. I am having them install the factory 1941 decal on the hood. I really like how the matte hood looks and love the historical tie to the past.

I want something for my hood sides but I don't know if I'm sold on the Sahara logo. Need to see if I can come up with something creative.

If you do it; please post some pictures.

Agreed HellaRubi, those 4xe's in the stringray, and Gecko look great, all three of you guys Wranglers are really nice looking.

Ghost7th your jeep will look great with the hood decal. They also make matt black 1941 vent decals (vents on your front quarter panels) and Mopar makes a nice matt black decal the runs just from behind your side mirrors, following the curve that swoops down and then runs the fuel length of both doors. It has 1941 at the beginning right where is straightens out.

I knew this when I got the Sarge green, but there just isn't many colors that are going to go well on it besides black. I have been looking at various things, but it's like , ok that doesn't go with Sarge green. Only thing I have seen that I think I could handle that's not black is the grab handles off the sports bar in the light green and black.

I traded in my sport for a 21 Willys. Took off all decals - couldn't get used to it and like the clean white black contrast.

But not 100% sure if stripped is better - just a personal choice. Whenever I see a Willys with decals, I think they

looks good too..

I enjoy many of what people do with hood decals. I went with orange/black as thought it went well with Sting Grey (before the Mojave arguably did it better!) and plan to remove them when the time finally comes to sell it (if that time does actually ever come). Love the quality of stuff from PixelDecals and its all super easy to apply.

Ha, get this…after a long build on my rig which is red and my wife’s name is Ruby so I’m thinking remove the rubicon stickers and replaced it with RUBYCON. Figuring this was the final icing on the cake I did the rig reveal with my wife and the first thing she said was ‘pull it off’. :( I ended up attaching the stickers to my tool box and reordered the oem stickers. Bummer!

I am kinda mixed on the hood decals whether its "Wrangler", "Rubicon" and what not.

I think on some colors it looks good, while some do not.

What do you all think?

(This isn't to bash anyone who currently has them on their rig), Just wanted an overall assumption. Perhaps a poll would have been better, but I like reasonings too! :)
I have mixed feelings too. I don't know how I feel about having a couple of big willys on my hood.

Also thinking about removing all of my decals before the tan lines set in.

For me I ordered the Willys because it's a Willys, it sets it apart from any other jeep models and pays homage to the original, so the last thing I would do is remove the Willys on the hood. Plus it is not that big of decal, I think Jeep did it just right. But that's just for me.
