From what I’ve read, seems to be a common issue on these. I have about 1200 miles on my Willys. Found the front drivers shock leaking today.

I might be having the same issue? ‘21 Willys Unlimited. 16,700 miles. Hard to tell if the oil spots on the frame are the same thing. Driver rear.

@dougiebros did you get yours replaced?

When I gave away my rubi suspension I noticed 2 shocks were leaking. 🤷‍♂️

Have not taken it in yet. I parked it and took another car up north for a couple weeks. Once I’m back down state I’ll get it taken care of.

I checked all shocks and only the driver rear potentially has an issue. I cleaned it up with some degreaser and will just monitor to be sure. I’ll update once sufficient time/mileage has passed.

Didn’t take long… I can already see more fluid leaking down from the cover. I’m at just over 17K miles so I’m wondering if I should go ahead and upgrade to something better on all four corners.

I thought the same thing. Mine is too new to not just get it replaced under warranty though. If it’s a continual problem, I’ll swap them out for something else.

Me too. Found a clear pool of fresh clean oil under my new 2021 Willys JLU with just 600 miles on it. I thought that maybe they didn't tighten the oil drain plug, but found the source to be the front drivers side shock with a green oil dripping from it. I will have it replaced under warranty until I decide to upgrade all 4 corners.
