You can't really blame non-Wrangler owners for asking seemingly "dumb" questions...they don't own one, so it only makes sense. I don't own a Ferrari, so I'd probably ask equally stupid questions about that car too. What's far worse (and funnier), is when Wrangler owners ask dumb questions about vehicles they already own.

Case in point...I almost always drive my 2-door JL in safari mode, and I've had three other soft-top JL owners ask me what sort of "aftermarket top" I have. I always kindly and respectfully advise that they have the same tops and can configure them the same way, but it sure is fun to watch the dumbfounded surprise on their faces. No malice though...still glad to help them understand and enjoy their vehicles, but like really? After investing $40K-$60K in an awesome Jeep, isn't it important, necessary, and perhaps interesting to read the manual?!?!?
How do they not know about safari mode? I mean when they take the windows out to be able to lower it all the way, it's in safari.

I’ll take a Starbucks here and there and the question is not a big deal. Some people don’t drive such a nice vehicle.

I owned my last truck for 14 years and had been wanting a jeep for a while. When I finally got one, my wife’s friend asked her if I was going through a midlife crisis😵‍.
Me too…said it’s a lot cheaper than a divorce and the maintenance costs of a 25 year old blond…

I don't mind the questions from a non-Owner. But what I really hate is having them argue with me after I give them an answer to their question. How dare they.... ;)
Please tell me you have an example to this.

The girl clerk at the store asked me today if my Wrangler was a 4x4…

I do...

I was fueling the JL one day and this guy walks by, then turns around and comes back.

He jokingly asked, "Does that thing have a Hemi?" to which I replied, "No, it doesn't have a Hemi."

"Ha Ha" he says, then he asked, "Well, does it have a turbo? Ha Ha..." to which I replied, "Why, yes it does have a turbocharger."

He says, "They don't make Jeeps with turbos!"

I just said at that point to "Go look it up.", finished fueling and left the area.

Makes me want to have a copy of my build sheet in the Wrangler.

Young kid, 20ish, walking past, sees the matching spare tire on the back and asks..."How often do you put this tire on?", my reply "when I get a flat, you?"

He had a quizzical look and continued walking.

If you mean my Wrangler, WTFK.

Original last day to drop was Monday, 9/06, Labor Day. Setup flight for Friday the 10th, then late last week they sent an email moving the date out another week.

I guess they like the sound of 13 weeks better.

Still hoping it drops Tuesday, but doubtful. Gonna cost me $200 to adjust the tickets. Gonna request reimbursement from FCA. Let's see how that plays out. 🤔🙄
That's not cool and Stellantis should reimburse you for the changes to your flight. Mine is at the dealership for rusty bolts on the rear steel bumper, rust on the front left tow hook, and a paint defect on the tailgate. I'm super pissed about the paint defect. It looks like bubbled clear coat that ran horizontally down the entire length of the tailgate.

I've had a few rubes argue with me after I provided them with accurate answers to their questions regarding my sidecar. I still shake my head when I think about these non-owners insisting they know more about my rig than I do.

No dumb questions about the Wrangler. Yet.
I just looked up that sidecar, first thing I noticed was the driveshaft going to the side car. All I can say, that’s bad ass for the price.

I replied, “no, it’s leather wrapped with blue stitching. Why do you ask.”
