I am headed to Alaska in July of 22.
I went to Prudhoe Bay in 2009, and Tuktoyaktuk (NW terr) in 2018. One hell of a great time. There are soooooo many great places to visit along the way, you will love every minute of your trip.
My son plays bball in college, so for the next few years I won't be taking any big vacations. But as soon as my son's career is over, I want to take the wife on a 12 mo vacation to all the places I used to go by myself, and she only got to see the pics. I went up there on a motorcycle, and my wife hates to ride, so when we both go, it will be in a more comfortable RV. A warm bed every night is more her style. Enjoy your trip,

Testing out the Shiftpod after ditching the RTT.
And your findings........? RTT gone or just trying something different for a while?

Been thinking of a gazelle for myself

I'll only go back to a RTT if I can store all the bedding for all seasons in it. The scene from Austin powers and digging things out of the bag/his ass prevented me from going with the gazelle. All the videos I watched and the couple actual trips out with others using them proved they are see through 😬

I went out for a week. I cheated and got an electrical campsite, since it was a working holiday. Northern Ontario, Canada. The bear was just outside my trailer, ten feet from where I was sleeping. It woke me up when it moved the trailer a bit.

What legal options are available to protect you and your family, should the pop-up tent trailer be compromised (while occupied) by wildlife like a bear?

I think that bear looks bashful. Kinda begging, though I'm going to say once they are accustom to humans it generally doesn't end well for them.

Lock up your food and don't feed them. It's not being nice in the end.

A loud horn generally sends them scampering. Black bears are not out to eat you. More often than not they want the food you have laying around.

Pepper spray works fairly well but then all I have ever had to do is bring it out and point at them and they run.

Moose, on the other had...

Yeah, hope like hell you can dodge through nearby trees faster than it cares to gore you.

Jackrabbit Mountain State Park, Lake Chatuge, Hayesville, North Carolina. We hauled a bunch of water craft this trip: 3 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. The two smaller kids kayaks fit inside the trailer.

No clue. I set off the Jeep Panic alarm and scared it off.
