Were you the one on the forum that was a Jurassic Park Fan or was it Captain America.... I forget...

You can now get these door lock covers... they were not available until today.

Very cool, but I’ve got my tire ones on the way.

Washed it, waxed it, and pulled the top back off. After months topless, it felt almost claustrophobic with the top back on last week. Figured I'd go topless for a few more weeks again until my next camping trip.

I’d Rather Talk Jeep’s!
Tbh it’s not all the comfy. My knees had carpet burn 😂 It’s an indoor outdoor carpet. Just vacuumed all the rocks and dirt and back to normal. Space is normally a gym.
I didn’t think about the carpet burn. 😅 Must be nice to wrench and bench. Wrench and bench. 😉

I was thinking about going the Double Take route, any reason you're going away from them?
Sorry for late response. The main reason really is because on the passenger side, I should have gotten a longer RAM arm as it doesn’t quite give me the full view I wanted. But then if I did that, it wouldn’t be symmetrical to the driver side. Having an engineering background, I’m OCD about symmetry. :) Anyways, my new CMM are definitely built better, mounts better, and symmetrical. Only improvement is I wish the mirrors were a bit more convex.

Installed Smittybilt SRC Side Armor. Took about an hour by myself.

I’ve been looking for years for the right side steps. I may have found them. Are you happy with these? Cost? Do you have more pics of them installed and some close up?

I took off the TeraFlex sway bar quick disconnects...

And installed the Apex Autolynx.

Time will tell how they hold up, but I'm not sorry I bought them.

The TeraFlex links leave a lot to be desired. They are easy to unhook, but you have to move the sway bar to get the links hooked to the parking studs. Then you have to move the sway bar again to get them hooked back up. One side always hooks easier than the other, and it never fails that you have to jiggle and diddle things to eventually get them both hooked. I don't like how they put the grease fittings at the ends of the links, where they are totally inaccessible except while the links are unhooked.

The Apex links seem promising, and they look cool too. Looking cool never hurt anything.

So, you got 2" and should have gone 3"? Or have the 3" and should have gone 6"?

I don't remember if mine was 2 or 3... but it needed to be at least 4. It would not have looked right being asymmetrical.

I like them so far, but they’ve only been installed about 18 hours so I have no clue how they’ll hold up to any sort of abuse. I can say that they’re fairly heavy and that the mounting points are 3/16” or maybe even 1/4” steel. They seem to be a pretty good compromise on cost/quality vs. the fancy brands that sell for double or triple the cost. I’m pretty sure the majority of them aren’t double or triple the quality.
