I was also told 8-12 weeks when I placed my order on 4/6/2021. Received it yesterday, 8/19/2021. That's 19 weeks and 3 days, but who was counting right?
I hope mine takes a minimum 12 weeks. I won’t be ready for it until the end of October. Any time after that would be fine also.

Its interesting how they skipped past all the 80XXXX VINs, says the guy with VIN 805488. The updates have had a lot of 81XXXX and now 82XXXX VINs.

Non XRs. Guessing a lot of the 80- 392s are XRs as that’s around when the package became available. 79- and 80-

Someone on here mentioned that they had their vin changed after an order. I have an early XR 789412, I'll have to check with the dealer and see if my vin has changed.

Happy Friday All!

For all of those folks just putting your order in and wonder why it takes so long or why it's so chaotic to get any information on your build...Read through my play by play notes below from this week's weekly call.

Apologies now for the long post.

Here are the play by play notes from my weekly Jeep call for an update on VIN 812956

Put my vin in through the keypad, system can't find my VIN. :headbang:

Representative takes my last 8 of the VIN, looking for the vehicle. :fingerscrossed:

Representative can't find my VIN (happens every week), puts me on hold :headbang:

On-hold music is kind of snazzy

Representative comes back, says she can't find my VIN in the system and doesn't want to help me. Wants me to call the dealership. :headbang:

Wants to transfer me to Mopar Vehicle Protection, says they can help me with my order. hmmm.

On hold again with that snazzy music

No doubt this is like IT support, depends on who answers the phone, will hold a few more minutes and then call back. :puke:

So I hang up and call again :headbang:

Called back this time, phone system says I have an active case, and that it is going to try and get a hold of my case manager and if it can't I should leave a message. That's really strange! I didn't know I had a case. System tries to transfer me and message says "This extension doesn't have a voicemail" and then hangs up on me! :headbang:

Calling back again! Ok, now we are cooking with gas, got the normal recording.

Now let's do the whole VIN finding stuff where it can't find my VIN because it isn't valid.
OMG! This is stupid. :headbang:

On hold now (snazzy music playing) and waiting for the Customer Care Representative :fingerscrossed:

OK, I'm on with Walter, he apologizes and is trying to help me. He takes my name and number. Takes the make, model, year information. :fingerscrossed:

OK, on hold again, snazzy music.

Patiently waiting for Walter to come back! He seemed nice enough and like he wants to help. The last "Customer Care Representative" must be exhausted from the legions of new Jeep owners calling and/or chatting trying to get information and was like FML, not going to deal with this today. :CWL:

At this point, I've invested about 20 minutes of time so far, more than half of that listening to the snazzy music. Patiently waiting for Walter to come back. :fingerscrossed:

Man, Walter must be trying hard, because he's had me on hold for the last 7 minutes. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I'm starting to wonder if the "D1" status I got last week was just to get me off the phone because my dealer has had me in "D" all week.

Starting to wonder if Walter is going to come back at all. I'm going to wait for him, he seemed sincere. Maybe he's calling his buddy in the factory and pushing my order to the front of the line. I'm sure not, but damn that would be cool. Maybe Walter is breaking bad...Couldn't help myself, I know lame.

Holy Crap, Walter is back! Unfortunately, he says it's back to "D" status. :puke:

Walter was nice enough to tell me that he used the ASPS System and if I mentioned that the next time, it may be easier for them to look up the vehicle since it still doesn't show in the other systems.

So, now that I have had my weekly dose of Jeep Production frustration, I'm off to eat lunch.

Stay strong my fellow Jeepers, one day we will all get our Jeeps delivered! We just don't know when that day will be.

I’m waiting on confirmation from my dealer but I’m pretty sure they jumped the price up $300.

Great summary! Seems fairly identical to my interactions. Thanks for taking the time to give us all a laugh! 😁

They do that (skip around VINS and go back to them later). At one point they were building VINs of 735 simultaneously with 260/261. Not all the 725 VINS from November orders have even been received yet.
