I had this issue today. My digital was under by 4 mph. When I pulled in my driveway I noticed the needle did not lay all the way down to zero, so I think the digital was accurate. I went for a drive later on and everything was fine.

mine is off also, dealer said the speedometer is only an approximation and has a delay. It might be 1-3 mph off from the digital. lol

Is there a way to adjust the position of analog speedometer so that while stopped the needle rests at zero? Seems like something that should be simple to adjust

I agree, the dealer should have a way to calibrate the needle. I should get my Jeep back on Monday, will see what Jeep's official answer is since I told the dealer I want official Jeep documentation of the approximation / 1-3 mph error.

Picked up my Rubicon this weekend and noticed the analog speedometer and digital read-out were off by around 5km/h (2~3 mph)

But as others have mentioned, the problem is intermittent. I'll glance down and one moment, it'll be dead on but a few minutes later, it'll be off again.

If you are wondering which one is correct, trust your external GPS for sure over the vehicle, once you've hit a constant speed. The GPS will be more accurate, although might have like a 1 second lag if you are accelerating.

I have the same issue and it's only intermittent, which doesn't make sense at all. Mine is typically around 6-7 MPH off. I checked it with GPS speedo from phone and the digital speedo is correct, the analog dial is showing 6-7MPH higher than normal. Super annoying but at least the cruise matches the digital number, which matches the actual GPS speed. 20180513_100749.jpg Screenshot_20180513-100657_GPS Speedometer.jpg

Your profile says you put on 37s...you recalibrated right?

Yes I had the dealer reflash with the $125 calibration thing. I had this intermittent speedo error before (from day 1) and after. Calibration didn't change anything for me.

@JeepCares is there anything specific to tell the dealer service dept regarding this issue? I haven't initiated anything on mine because it's intermittent and I know I won't be able to replicate it for them.

This thread should probably be moved to the : ISSUES, REPAIRS, WARRANTY, TSB, RECALLS sub-forum.

I'm sure there are many others with this issue.

@JeepCares I have the same issue as many in this thread. Since I know the center speedo is accurate it is not a big deal right now. More of an annoyance. I was going to address it with my dealer at my first oil change, but I want to make sure they have some reference on how to correct this so it's not a huge inconvenience to me and my time. Will there be a dealer bulletin I can reference?
