I had it also, body aches for 2 days, congestion, loss of taste and smell for 2 weeks that was terrible. Its wild how different it is for everyone.
Also had it in Nov and taste / smell still isn't back to normal. Hopefully I'll be able to detect new car smell by next month...

I will most likely do more damage as well, but dont want to buy it pre-scraped up. my biggest concern was having a small dealer repair if paint was involved. If can be repaired paintless I am good.
Couldn’t agree more. Scratches need to be our story, not transports.

I received an interesting response on Jeep Chat today:
Thank you so much for holding, I appreciate your patience. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build. In this case we can suggest checking back end of week for an update on your order. Congratulations again on the purchase! We appreciate having you in the Jeep family!

Has anyone ever had them suggest checking back at the end of the week? My previous correspondence with them hasn't been so specific.

My order:
VIN 805488
Order Date: 7/1/21
Black
Off-road camera
Trail rail
Hardtop headliner
Xtreme Recon
jeep chat just has canned answers, i wouldnt expect any movement/build for at least 30 days. but make your sales person text you on like tues and fridays. it only takes him a minute and its up to the minute accurate

Just curious, how many of you have been vaccinated? Don't beat me up just wondering.

Why you wondering? I'm vaxed, retired USA, and a GS and we're both still just as vulnerable. I just want my 392 regardless of the rest of the BS.

Understand and I guess just should have not even commented, relax, I just don't know anyone that is vaccinated that has/had covid...don't want this thread to turn away from the original OP's intent so just disregard.

My family and I did but a lot of Arizona are against it. Free to choose, I don't have a problem with that...

Wonder how they missed that when loading it? Mine was obviously damaged so bad they had to bring it back to the factory for full replacements.
The 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk I ordered was similar to your situation. After a long delay it was built.. then it was damaged. However it was bad enough they would not fix it. So then they started a new build for me. The new build was some special priority code and was pretty quick.

Hopefully yours will be fixed and delivered soon. The good news is you are not waiting on a Bronco. I hear some bad news about to drop on those. (The delays are why I ordered yet another JL now. I was told mid 2022 back in may before I placed my most recent JL order)

I am jealous of all you getting a 392, but wife would end me if I bought one. I tried to explain that ill spend more overall for my Eco-Diesel by the time I lift it etc. But that did not help.

In other news I have a bronco reserved. It is full on meltdown on that forum. Big news is supposed to come out on how they can’t build quality tops and are shutting production down.
I just read through that thread... With my reservation, I was told in May that mine would not be built until about that time in 2022. I am assuming with the new news it may be 2023. So will actually work out well for me since I don't keep my cars more than a year or 2 max. Next decision will be a 2023 JL refresh, or maybe Bronco raptor/warthog. Since I have a reservation in, at least my place will be saved in line.

If your fender was damaged as well then maybe it is the way they load it onto the rail car. Looks like mine was my rear bumper and rear fender which sounds pretty drastic for a new vehicle.
Curious what the mileage on it is when you get it

What the hell? Building 8xx series without finishing off the 7xxx? I have 782731 was getting hopeful seeing some 78xxxx being built. Has anyone with XR got a build sheet yet?

How early was the XR option available to order? Jeep announced it the day after I ordered mine and the dealer wouldn't let me order it without the package. Have people been able to add the package to orders that were not built yet, if so, I would assume that that would delay some of the orders or at least change the order of the builds as Recon jeeps are just starting to be built.
