JLU Rubicon on 35s no lift

Does anyone have any experience with the 35/12.5-17 HANKOOK DYNAPRO M/T RT03 Tires? Upgrading to 35s on my JLUR and these are about half the cost of 35 BFG TA/KO2s. Don't want to lose much ride quality or on/off road performance.

So if you did a 20 wheel, would it be a smoother street drive?

That would be accurate however you will limit your off-road capabilities having little sidewall. Id think you need at least a 37 to consider a 20. Plus most ppl don't like the look, but hey, it's your jeep so do what you like. I think if you stay around half the tire size it looks the best and keeps it closest to OEM driveability.

I did not. I'm keeping the OEM 33 as the spare for an emergency. Already paid quite the penny and waiting for the aftermarket to catch up with relocates and tire carriers to decide. The other conflict was the Kumhos are directional tires so would have been pointless do have a spare that only works for one side.

Yes, just get a 35 tire that fits 17 wheels which is the Rubi OEM wheel size. In the pic it's a 35x12.5x18 but I'm pretty sure you can get 35x12.5x17.

I've been running 35's for about 1200 miles now. Mounted the spare just fine, no issues at least with the Mopar beadlocks...

You won’t “need” spacers for either wheel.

I think the backspace is different than the stock wheel, but I ran the stock wheels with 35s for a couple of weeks with no issues as well. The beadlocks are -12 offset. No clue what the factory wheels are...

I really don't notice a difference at all. Unless your super sensitive to that stuff then it's unlikely. Obviously depends on the tire as well, the Kumho tires had great on road reviews. Unfortunately I don't have anything to compare it to though. When your going under 5mph you can hear the tires and bump a little but don't think that really counts =)
The one thing to note is that they are directional tires so you can only rotate back to front same side. Also creates issue for spare which is why I kept OEM for now.
