I know this is an old post but I ended up getting Next Venture stuff. Pricier, but super nice and lightweight
Have you installed your skids yet? If so, how did it go? (I also ordered a set.)

The pics on the website are from my Jeep. I'm very happy with them. Great customer service also.
Artec kept promising something never happened. Otherwise no issue with the vendor.
Metal Cloak is quality stuff and if I wasn't running such a heavy setup where the steel weight wasn't a problem, I recommend their stuff also. No experience on RockHard, but they were def too heavy for me.

I ended up going metalcloak for one reason, at the time most makers where months out to get them. And I was able to get mine on sale for around $1400 back in april.

I went Undercloaked same as @Rangemaster for all the same reasons back in April. Cost/ Availability. They have battle scars from Cline Butte Oregon this week end. Lots of sharp rock.

is yours the original version, or the new version with the fuel filter access port? can youmget a picture of that area?

I ran Metalcloak on my 2019 3.6 JLUR, and Motobilt on my 2020 3.6 JLUR. for my 2021 Eco-Diesel JLUR It is looking like I will be back to Metalcloak. My jeep is due to arrive in the next few weeks so time to start making up my mind. the only thing I don't like about the 3.0 so far is lack of skid options as Motobilt etc. still don't offer any, and no plans to do so yet.

what I dislike most is the fact that I can't buy anything right now as everything I try to buy is 3-6 months backorder.

even a simple Mopar lift and 35" tires is next to impossible to find.

I keep getting same answer from @Artec Industries that the diesel skid will be ready to go within a few weeks, since late last year. Every time I load their website I'm hopeful I'll see a diesel skid added, but unfortunately nothing yet.

I have gotten the same response from my Jeep Builder, but, was told the delay has to do with Artec moving into a new distribution facility. I have been promised that the aluminum skid plates will start shipping at the end of August. The aluminum skid system will have a net weight increase of only 12 lbs, once the OEM skids are removed, though the Artec plates will have full coverage.

Will the Artec skids have a fuel filter access port? lack of that is a deal breaker for me. removing and reinstalling used skids is not a lot of fun.

I went with full MC underarmor and couldn't be happier. The jeep is not a mall crawler and before I got the lift tested the plates on a regular basis. Got high centered a couple times and the jeep just slid off the rocks without any problems. The underarmor defently has some battle scars.

I have been told that fuel filter access is a feature, but nothing specific.

I ordered my Metal Cloak skids 7/2. They arrived 7/23. Not bad turnaround time.

The fuel filter access is nicely done. Four T-45 screws hold it in place. The second picture is at an angle. There is plenty of room for the filter to come straight down and out.

I'm only at 3,000 miles on my Jeep so I haven't had to change it out yet. But it looks like it will be easy.

Read the instructions fully before you start pulling factory bolts. Only a couple of the gas tank bolts come out at a time.

Have two sets of hands at least. And a floor jack or two.

Attach all bolts loosely at first. Don't torque down until you're done getting everything in.

You can get at the motor mount bolts without actually pulling the fender liners but they're in the way. Double check how the bracket lines up before you pull the motor mount bolt. There are two on each side but only one of the two needs to come out. It only fits one way so figure out which bolt to pull before you pull it. Either way, both front tires have to come off.

Pulling the driver side rear tire makes getting to one of the gas tank skid bolts way easier.
