How’d you check? Get ahold of your dealer?

click on chat and the first time, use your VON to see if there is a VIN. Once you get a VIN, then you can start using that instead of the VON to check on the status of your 392.
They will ask you for your name, VIN, address, phone number, and email in your order.

Oh boy, there gonna get annoyed of me haha. They just said it’s in the scheduling phase and don’t provide status codes. Thanks for showing me that.

Ladies and Gentlemen, stop using Jeep chat and call the customer care help line @ 877-426-5337. I just got off the phone with Margie, a LIVE HUMAN BEING who was AMAZING. We talked for 30 minutes and she cleared up a lot of questions I had. First, my 392 Xtreme Recon just went into D1 “status gateline schedule ready to proceed” on 7-27. Margie has access to 3 different systems including the one our dealers use. However, the main one she uses is the one that directly reports from the actual Toledo plant. She stated that system is the most up to date status and the other 2 systems take time to catch up. Therefore, if Jeep Chat says you’re in D status or “gathering parts” as they say, you could actually be in D1 or further along and the Jeep Chat system hasn’t updated. So, those of us Xtreme Recon with GG builds looks like we are finally starting to get pushed along. Oh, last but not least, “Cara” is an actual person and Margie stated that all of Jeep customer care responses come from an actual person. Cara is real, although some of her verbiage is copied and pasted due to overwhelming numbers of emails/inquiries. Margie provided me incredible customer service and my advice (for what it’s worth) is to call the # and get real time updates. Lastly, she also escalated my case so that I would get weekly email updates regarding my build. Sorry for the long post, but I’m like a kid on Christmas morning when she read my new status update. I understand it could still be a while before taking delivery, but at least speaking to a human rather than Jeep Chat was utterly satisfying

I ordered a 392 recon on Wednesday 7/28 through a dealer with no allocation. He was upfront about it but offered a great price. I received my VON instantly on the POC. I texted jeep chat the next day on Thursday and got the VIN and said it was in D. Do you guys think it will get built? VIN # 822892

The truth is no one really knows. If you’re asking my opinion. I am going to say no. They were already backed up, still haven’t built orders from November 2020 and now the chip shortage is affecting things even more. I would love to be wrong and In my heart I hope you get your 392 by November.

I think if you have a vin that’s a solid indicator it will be built. Im not familiar with jeeps ordering process though. I’m in a similar situation with a dealer and he said he’s been submitting them and they’re picking them up. We’ll see what happens I guess.

So I just got the email last night from Jeep with an estimated delivery of 11/20. I’m good with that since I placed the order only 3 days ago. This was through a dealer with no allocation. There is hope I’d say.

The email came from Jeep not his dealer. I reserved at the same dealer and I got my vin a day later. I’m waiting on the build email.
