the extra 4 bolts are most likely from the door checks
+1

Though easiest is to just install the door detent bolts back into the jeep.

If those were the windshield bolts, the entire jack-cubby cover would either not be seated flush, due to the wipers being crammed in there, or there would be two loose wiper assemblies rolling around, with numerous little grease marks all over the place.

@Stellantis Please either recess the wipers, or give us a place to put them after removing.

Did you accidentally take out the windshield bolts?? Or are you planning to fold it down.
Those bolts are for the 4, door check bolts.
Wonder why they did not give a spot for those?
I just used the windshield slots for them.

I installed the full Metal Cloak skid plate system in my driveway today. It took about 2.5 hours, nothing too crazy--just me and my trusty floor jack. The instructions were pretty good, though I did have some extra bolts and brackets, but I will assume those are for a different model since I had no empty bolt holes.

With the exception of some new wheels--I am DONE with the major work on the Grinch. Now to head to the trails in CO (well, after the axles are broken in).

A shoutout to all those who helped with advice along the way over these past two years as well as those who sold me stuff on the market place, I saved a lot of money buying stuff from you guys.

Any leaks running it through the automatic car wash? I’ve been too chicken to try it.

Went out last night and ran it thru the touch less car wash. Washed all the windows and got all the bugs off.
Went out today and coated it with Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Wax. Came out really shiny.
Man I love my new Wrangler.

Metalcloak fenders and fender liners installed, along with some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs (37x12.50R17). A few more things to install this weekend and coming week and I'll be ready for the Jeep Jamboree on the 29th.

“Finished” my onboard air install today. This layout is surprisingly stable with no zip ties or anything. I’d love to figure out some brackets, but I think this will be functional. It might even be better because the connectors lay out of the way. I have home-made dual tire whips that plug into each side for a 4 tire inflation setup.

I replied to this just before you did.

The easiest thing to do is to reinstall the detent bolts back into the original bolt-hole. Added benefit of preventing entry of water/sand/mud/debris.

That looks really sharp, impressed.
American Outlaw 17x8.5 0 offset wheels and BFG 315's on the Rubi. 2" Mopar lift next week...then I can start saving money on spray paint.

Just checking. Didn’t want you to have a windshield fold during a panic stop. Lol
