Wanted 2.0 but had to go Etorque because of XR package. Now I really wish I could get 2.0 :) So, I have an order in but they won't start production until August on XR Rubi's. The Etorque V6 was a $1,750 option. Now it's $750. You know what I'm asking. I'm I paying $1,750 or $750? I think I know the answer :) I mean the build hasn't started and wont for weeks........ Is the auto tranny the same price?

I think all of the engine options have two batteries, with the etorque having probably the best setup with the 48 volt system.
I’m pretty sure the eTorque does away with the auxiliary battery. It leverages the built-in generator instead.

Not trying to be pedantic here. Just wanting to make sure my facts are right since I'm on the verge of ordering an eTorque Gecko.

eTorque has the standard vehicle battery for starting, and the 48v in back for eTorque functions, right? I know it eliminates the alternator and motorcycle battery. But there are still two batteries, no?

That is my understanding, but I'm not sure about the alternator.

Did anyone else notice the RHD option? I didn't realize Joe Public in the US could get one from the factory.

Not according to what I’ve read.

The built-in generator supposedly replaces both the alternator and the auxiliary battery.

Can an eTorque owner who has peeked under the hood please chime in?

I'd tell you, but you know the rest....
And still broken. Gecko doesn’t show properly or at all. I wanted to get an idea on what my Willys build I ordered would look like.

Everyone stay calm, it's happening!

It allowed me to select half doors on gecko... boy Jeep is really pushing the 2.0

Must mean I should get the 3.6

Happy to see Jeep is starting to update site. Come on new colors!
The 2.0 is still effectively the same price as before.

It use to be $2500 for auto and no cost for the 2.0T. Now, it is 3500 for the auto and -1000 for the 2.0T. This allows Jeep to offer the V6 ESS (non etorque) for no cost when pair with the 6MT for NC or the Auto for 3500.

If they kept the prior pricing structure the auto would have been $2500 as before but the V6 ESS (non etorque) would have been $1000 option over the 3.6 V6 ESS with 6MT which has the same engine.

Here you go. It works on a desktop. For Gecko, the more black the better, IMO.

Thanks. I should have mentioned two door. But it gives me an idea. I’ll have try on my laptop when I get home.

Agreed! The black really compliments the Gecko green really well! I’ve added the hood decal to mine to break up the hood a bit and the black grill.
