Youngster! My first two manual cars were three on the trees. One four speed, two fives. My 2020 Civic is my first six speed. I was used to it by the end of the test drive. 6th doesn't seem that tall- I typically upshift into it around 50, but it's tractable down to around 35. 1st gear is really steep, probably to compensate for the small (1.5 liter) displacement before the turbo helps out. My sister once had a Dodge Colt with an 8-speed. Actually, it was a 4-speed with an overdrive sub-trans. I guess the concept of a 5-speed eluded them at the time!

• 1 vehicle with a 6 speed auto that pretended to be a 5 speed

• 1 vehicle with an 8 speed auto
  • 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Lowest gears I've driven but don't own is a 3 speed auto and highest was a 10 speed auto.
