Guide: Wrangler Order, Build, Tracking and Delivery Process

My Willy's in Sarge was ordered 6/8, VIN received 6/10, still no build sheet and parts were being gathered since 6/17. Just found out my Willy's is finished and waiting to be shipped!!!!

You are so lucky. I ordered my Sahara on 6/10 had a vin and von by the 14th and has been in the gathering parts stage since then. I just finished chatting with Randy and he said check back in 2 weeks. That seems like a long ass time ughhh ….
the waiting is killing me!

the waiting is killing me!

I like to check Jeep chat once, maybe twice a week (Mon/Fri) if I'm impatient. I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer who's been on vacation, hoping he has an ETA.

5+ weeks in "Paint Stage", 37 days. Not in Canada, no Gorilla Glass, No 4Xe. JLRU, ordered 5/15, 7 weeks isn't that long for an order and I'm not going to cry some dude ordered my exact same build and color 2 weeks after me and his has been delivered. Because I'm happy for him and we all know by now there's no rhyme or reason behind how Jeep builds orders but 5 weeks in Paint.......................................................................................................................

Posted this in Build Tracking as well. So for the redundancy. Just trying to see if anyone has had this happen? I should probably put it in the general forum. I know once we get our orders we quit monitoring the order tracking.

This deserves a new reply. You have seen my post lately on being in the "Paint Stage" for several weeks. Nothing special or unusual about my order. As @nomographer points out, paint stage doesn't even show up most times a stage because it's a day or less process. I've been their 38 days. Limited info from dealer and Jeep Chat tells me what stage I'm in but no more details.
So yesterday I email Jeep requesting a Jeep Brand Mentor to look into why I'm in "Paint Stage" for 38 days. I understand you can't get a Mentor on an order 8 weeks in but I think, 5 weeks in Paint deserves some further looking. Here's their reply.

Just picked up my Willys today from the dealer. Came off the truck this morning and dealer had it prep'd & ready for pickup this afternoon. Altogether, 6 weeks from order to delivery.

5/24: VIN
6/11: Build Sheet
6/14: Sticker
6/21: Shipped
7/1: Arrived at dealer and drove home

Thanks! The waiting game is finally OVER.

I'm going to take Willys on its "maiden voyage" next week to Ocala National Forest. It has nice forest roads/trails and great bass fishing

Thanks, you should be riding in yours by mid-August or sooner. I read where FCA added an extra shift effective 1st June at Toledo plant so it should help a lot to increase production, but supply chain is a bit problematic still.
