Probably one reason I see so many jeeps towed instead of driven to the trailhead LOL.
My 19 JLU wanders more than the 45 year old farm trucks I drive at harvest time.

I will be buying this package for sure. Just the other day I said goodbye to my JLUR when Carvana offered me 9500 more than I paid for it brand new.

I was bummed to see it go but excited to see this package less than one hour after my Jeep was trailered away.

How likely is it that that hood would be available as an aftermarket part? And if likely, when? Only hassle is having it painted to match. I'm kind of obsessed with aggressive busy hoods.
Is it not just the Mojave hood when you get the non 392 version and the stock hood for the 392?

You sure about that? Thought that its been posted a couple times that only the 3.6 will be offered for now.
It will be offered on the 3.6 and the 392. There remain questions about what the 392 will get. It seems like it'll get the tires, but unclear on lift/gearing.

Correct. There is also a question about whether the manual will offer both 4.56 and 4.88 gears, or only the 4.88.

So the Rubicon XR powertrain options appear to be:

* 8-speed Pentastar w/ e-Torque and 4.56 gears
* 6-speed manual Pentastar with 4.88 gears (and 4.56 gear option?)
* 392 and 4.56 gears.

No 4xe. No diesel. No turbo-4.

Could change in the future, of course.

Yeah, probably won't know for sure until this is "unveiled" in July at the Chicago Auto Show.

Re: 392, they used 3.73 gears instead of the regular Rubi's 4:10. That makes me question whether they'll go to 4.56 (you know - stress on axles, etc.). I don't have mine yet but I question whether a gear upgrade is even needed for KO2s (they're pretty light).

Looking at Google images, yeah, the Rubicon 392 w/ Xtreme Recon hood looks like the Rubicon 392 "regular" hood. And then it could very well be the Mojave hood if you get a non-392 w/ Xtreme Recon. I can't verify that with pictures though, as there doesn't seem to be enough definitive images of the non-392 w/ Xtreme Recon.

That's assuming the Gladiator hood is interchangeable with the Wrangler hood. I guess it is? I forget how modular / interchangeable everything is in the Wrangler world.

I'm pretty sure the Mojave and 392 hood are the same. Maybe the scoop is more functional on the 392.
