The lighting in the photos makes it appear as though those are two separate vehicles.

Gary...did you purchase another Wrangler and not tell us? ;)

Changed the oil on the wife’s navigator this afternoon. While waiting it to drain I did a 5 tire rotation on the Jeep.

BTW this was one of the worst oil changes I have ever done, what a pain in the ass.

Mounted these off-road lights that were sitting in the garage. I believe I had bought them for my 2018 JKUR Recon but never got around to putting them on.

I got the Maximus-3 auxiliary light brackets for $65. I think they stopped making them.

The lights are massive 8-inch, old-school round halogens; as big as WWII search lights! The clear covers can be replaced with amber ones.

One of my pet peeves is drivers that drive around town with their high beams. These should blind the bejeezus out of them!

Funny. I was looking at pictures of your Jeep this week with it's old school accents and thought to myself it needed some round spots to complete the look.

I just left the powder coat shop with black Reid knuckles and Rigid 360 brackets for the 6" driving and 4" spots! Went with a semi-gloss black for the Reid knuckles and a flat fine-texture coating for the Rigid light mounts which is a pretty decent match for the Warn Elite bumper. Finally have all the parts to install the Mopar UD44 w/4.88's and my off road lights...Now just have to carve out time, been super busy plus just wrapping up our fiscal year end-RPITA. Likely will have to wait till next weekend...

I wish Reid would offer black-I asked and they said no. Overall, powder coat came out well.

Love the Rigid 360's but for the price they could have included black powder coated brackets instead of bare stainless...

@4xFUN - any concerns about the heat treating on them? The orange does not match my Mojito! and I wanted to powder coat my black as well.

Yeah, these lights would have looked out of place on my JK. But JL’s front end is a lot taller and the headlights are much larger. I think they are the perfect size for JL.

Installed a Midland MXT275 GMRS radio. I was able to reuse the Cooltech mic holder and antenna bracket. The radio is tucked behind the gloove box. I went with the 6bd gain whip antenna.

Just got mine today! Still need to pick up the Cooltech bracket for the cowl.

Teraflex HD Adjustable Tire Mount + Rugged Ridge Tire Carrier Hinge + @ThirtyOne Sting Gray badge.

Couple of notes: Just replace the POS hinge bolts that come from the factory they are seriously crap pot metal bolts holding the entire hinge to the body. Snapped the head off one torqued to factory specs and replaced all six with grade 8 bolts. RR Hinge needs to be touched up after grinding out their logo from the badge area on the hinge. If you have a 2021 with front & rear cameras order the rear camera mount in advance from Teraflex. They were cool about getting me one and rigged something up in the interim so I didn't have to put everything back.

Positive note: my backup sensors are working normally again and not going bananas every time I put it in reverse =)

Bumper lights from Oracle are next on the agenda...seriously not looking forward to that project =)

FYI I installed my bumper lights from Oracle on my 2020 JLUR without removing the bumper. It was pretty easy using several extensions with a 1/4" ratchet and socket (I didn't even use a universal joint). Putting the bolt back in was slightly trickier. I put a pebble inside the socket, then taped the edge of the washer on the bolt to the socket just enough to hold it but loose enough that it would release once it started threading on. Key was the right sized pebble lol. My biggest issue at the moment is the pins in the plug-n-play harness.. but working with Oracle on it (GREAT customer service BTW!). I had to trim my drivers side light to fit but they say the new edition lights no longer need trimming.

New grille came in so I did the install. I really like the look of Recons, so I decided to do my own little touch. What you guys think? Next is a bumper to tie it together.

I hope you have better luck with that antenna than I did. I had to put a 3db on instead. Mine is on the driver cowl, but the 6 was picking up static like you wouldn't believe.

Love the Moab wheels with the machined lip!

Did you paint the wheels yourself?

Nope, none at all as these are cast iron and typical powder coating temps are around 400 degrees. (+-50) However, one of my Reid Knuckles were defective (upper ball joint opening over bored) and Northridge/Reid quickly replaced them but I did not want to go through waiting for powder coating again...So I sold them and went with Jeeps Mojave iron knuckles which are already black and come with threaded inserts for adjustable stops.

Do you have a link for them? Just curious to see them.
