Over the weekend, a little adventure was had.
It's summer in the desert, so the afternoon temps were no fun. But the trail offered a little challenge, which was nice.

That's a sport model. I just saw on news the Big Ford Bronco has started production in Detroit. They have 125,000 already made. I parked next to my first Jeep and beside a Bronco sport too. Top was not removeable.

I thought the Bronco Sport was just a Ford Escape with different bodywork and badging? Thus the non-removable top, etc.

And tell us about the red No Parking line positioned directly in front of the parking spaces.

Spent the morning up in Big Bear Ca. doing a short “shake down” run on our new and still bone stock 2021 JLUR. Nothing hard just moderate trails we have used prior for acquiring a base line performance to measure upgrades against.

First thing being added 35” tires. The stock 33” when aired down are lacking in providing sufficient ground clearance. I hadn’t scrapped my belly “armor” this bad in years.

Here are a couple of “poser” shots from the day.

LOL, Not my ford. The red No Parking line is for the Fire Department. You cannot park beyond the parking space. If that building has a fire they will push your auto out of the way with a big Firetruck.

I love the thread what did you do TO your Jeep but I want to see what you did with your Jeep. Did you commute, mud, crawl, mall crawl?

Well, no trails like most of the country in your photos. Made a water run ( gotta stay hydrated ) this Texas heat.

One of the last country roads in Wide Awake Wylie.

I had hoped that the Rubicon opened up more than the Sahara with Sky Power Top does would be more heat-friendly here. The above spring rainfall made for cooler spring temps was nice.

This little trip was 4 miles to and 4 miles back. Nice drive but I'll be damn if I was not soaked back of the shirt on down. Now the heat and humidity are back.

Looks like even the openness of the naked Jeep with even the shade screen on the heat is just too much.

Looks like the top and doors go back on. AC makes the naked Jeep lose its appeal. Guess have gotten soft in my semi-old age. :whew::whew:

I'm not a fan of pegboard, but I can get behind this presentation.

Stay frosty on the status of that brace. ;)
Status = Installed lol

Looks like the brace review was dropped. The logic behind considering changing regulations was based on the fact that some criminals' weapons had them. Those criminals also wore shoes, had up to 10 fingers each, ate food on occasion, so the list of possible crime enablers was too burdensome to address and regulate. 😁

Possibly you're mixing up the withdrawn guidance (Dec 2020) for stabilizing braces with the current proposed rulemaking (June 2021), for which the 90 day public comment period has already begun?

The little lady suggested I make any trips needed at 7 am when it's still 75 and not 95 at 11 am. This way would keep Jeep naked.

Told her messes with my morning coffee, she went to the cabinet and gave me one of my many insulated coffee mugs. Told me, man, up and drink on your way. She would keep the coffee pot hot for me. Guess can't argue with that. ☕
