Got 20.5 mpg on the first 73 miles of the a brand new 2021 2.0 JLUR, mix of local/highway. Very pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of this. Was expecting 17-18.

I regularly got 25-26 in our modestly optioned Sahara with 32” AT’s. Average of city/hwy was between 22-23.
if they only would have had a manual attached to the 2.0 . .... I might have bought an option like that.

That seems pretty good. Whats your driving style?
No doubt about that .... even priuses get tired of driving behind me sometimes to hit my mpg target. ;)
I reset my mileage ticker about 2 months ago and started using a lighter foot on the gas pedal , I'm almost up to 16 mpg now , it was around 12.5 for a while.
They still pass me even when I'm doing 5 mph over the speed limit.
😊

Jeepless but still a fan.
On highway trips I can tease out 24.5 - 25 mpg if that's all it is, keeping her at 65mph or slower and going easy on the skinny pedal. Combined mileage of around town and my freeway commute is about 22.5, still very good. My last jeep was a 2006 LJ with the 4.0 I6. Thing got 13 mpg on a good day.

My DD is a ‘20 Sahara 2.0 T on 35s.
3.45 gears.

Running 89 oct gas which 95%+ of the time comes from a shell station.

Setting between 33-35k miles.

A good piece of my driving is on State Highways where 50 - 55 is often top speed. Probably 1/4 - 1/3 of my total Milage is interstate travel 70 - 75 MPH.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, average for total milage (since new) I reached 27.5 mpg.

I typically set around 23 and 25 using spring - summer - fall mix. Winter mix I drop to around 18 -20.

I am looking into getting a 2.0 2 door Rubi. I wonder what kind of mileage that would get....I drive like an old man. Mileage is not the most important thing with a Jeep, but it sure is nice to have some decent numbers.

I have a 2020 2 dr Rubi and average around 22-23 using premium. Mostly highway with a little stop and go occasionally. Was getting 24 but added weight of winch plate and winch may have dropped that down. I have 33's KO2.

I bought a Ford Focus once, the Special Fuel Economy Edition with all the extra aerodynamics and skirts and stuff, in search of good gas mileage. I got an average of 38 mpg out of that thing, combined, with lots of stop lights on either end of the highway, and a 54-mile one way commute. I saw mileage has high as 52 mpg on exceptional trips with a lot of flat land and highway cruising.

I hated that pile of crap. There was nothing even slightly fun or cool about it. I just rode around with an angry face on, discouraging anyone from looking at me while the trucks whipped me all over the road. When I drove home one winter, and ripped off an important piece of aerodynamic nonsense just trying to get home, that's when I decided to get a 4WD with some ground clearance. I got 18-20 mpg out of that thing, and never once regretted the change, until I eventually bought a Jeep.

I'm getting even better mileage out of the Jeep so far, even after messing up the factory aerodynamics and increasing the curb weight by close to 300 pounds. Every change I make results in worse mileage, and more joy. It is what it is.

No such luck with mine
Me either. My hand calculated MPG is always about 1.5 less than indicated on computer. Always. I've never hand calculated it and matched the computer.

That being said, I also saw an indicated 30MPG on the highway from Denver to Co Springs and back so even with correction factor I'd say I got 27-28MPG in reality.

That's pretty close to what I see on mine. I also had a 2003 TJ with 4.0/5 speed, and I once got 18 out of it but typically was in the 13-15MPG range :)
