I called BF Goodrich this morning to get an update. I asked if they were still on schedule to be produced today and I was told by the representative that they are available to be purchased and shipped. If anyone else hears anything different let me know. I put in an order with my dealer so I guess we will see

How would it weigh less than the 315/70/R17?
it looks like it is 1.25 lbs heavier than the 315/70/17 C tire based on BFG website....it makes sense that it is not much heavier as the D rated 315 to 37 is only about 2lbs heavier.......tread width is actually a touch narrower on the 37 and the tread weighs the most

I'm sold, I wonder if Discount tire will put these on OEM Rubicon wheels! I'm running 315 Patagonia's, and after about 20k miles they are on track to be replaced this summer.

Ok, that makes more sense. Discount Tire listed the 315/70/17 C at 65 lbs.

This morning Discount Tire sent me this:

"I called BFG Today and they said they have some of the 37x12.50R-17 C MPN 80088 is available. They cost $382.00 each in the C load rating."

All I can tell you is that my 37x12.5R17, with less than 2K miles at 30PSI on 17x8.5 wheels and the weight of my JLUR (5,200 lbs) on them they measure only 34 and 1/8" - they look smaller than some 35s and are dwarfed by every other 37" tire I have seen from my friends side by side (both diameter and thread width).

looks like 34.5" to me, that does sound a bit low.....37's should measure around 35" mounted and with weight on them......35's I think around 33.5" for 2 sets that I have had (Duratracs and BFG TA KO2)

It's more like the angle of the photo. They measure 34 and 1/8th to the shoulder and 34 and 1/4 to the highest (center) part of the tire. I'll try to take better pictures and also get one of my spare (for the unloaded diameter).

Can you post a similar picture with the tape measure, when you have a chance. I'm shocked that mine barely clears 34.

I have probably 20k miles on mine at 25-28psi so I don't know how useful it's going to be to take a current measurement

Wow. Looks like these "37's" should really be called 35's. That's probably the secret to their light weight.

I was going to buy a set this week. Now I'm going to have to reevaluate my tire choice. Maybe go with their 39x13.5x17?

I ended up ordering a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 37x12.5R17's. They weigh in at 68lbs and are 36.5" in diameter.
