Added Mirror Turn Signals

Hey thanks. Just got my lux rock lights on this weekend too.

The part numbers for the matte black caps that match the original factory ones but have the light cutouts are 68361982AA and 68361983AA (still waiting for this one to arrive but it should be the matching drivers side mirror cap)

The lights I used are from amazon:

Did your other mirror cap come in yet? Curious to see if you got the right one. When I looked for the part online, it seems the descriptions vary as to what it is.

I haven't yet. I ordered it 10 days ago and it still says "processing" so I'm going to cancel that and order from a dif website in the morning. So annoying

never said it was cheap

you can cut the price by about 1/2 if you grab just the covers/light modules (again the covers are semi glossy for some reason when bought separately)

edit: added a photo of how the glossy covers look above and the PNs for the lights only, dont have the cover PNs

I wonder if they are glossy so that they are paintable? Has anyone painted them?

I ordered and received the 2 euro-style caps (68361982AA and 68361983AA). The color and texture is a perfect match to the OEM black non-lighted caps. I’ll share pics once I get time to install.

I decided not to order the OEM lamps (68361957AA and 68361956AA) and ordered the ones Hoosierbilly (you?) recommended above from Amazon instead because I like the smoked look better.

Lol nope Hoosierbilly is a different guy! He must be from Indiana originally too lol. I wasn’t sure I’d like the smoked lens so I was hoping to keep it more stock. But post some pics when it’s together and maybe it’ll change my mind!

I decided to install what I have until I can find the wiring connector. Doing just the replacement cap is easy with the Mopar part coming with great instructions to remove the existing one. Once I find the connector to wire up the lights, I'll share here.

Any chance you could share the instructions for removing the cap? I purchased the Mopar covers but there were no instructions include.

Pull the mirrors out, takes some force to do so. Once out there are tabs around the inside edge, you dont need to remove any screws, just undo the tabs. It is good to have some small extra flat objects or screw drives to keep the tabs released from re-engaging as you make you way around.

Yes, a little nerve racking but it will pop out.

After removal, how is it re-installed? Just muscle it back on?

Yes, just reverse of what you did. If you are doing the turn signal, thats pretty straight forward too.

Finally got the new caps and turn signals on, and expanded the project a bit with some Baja S2s, amber marker lights below the Bajas, and white markers under the mirror as a puddle/courtesy light. Hardware installed today, still need to wire it all up.
