Just ask @cosine he knows!
I am starting my looking around for JLUR -Diesel takeoffs. We will see what this nets me. Found someone local who will help me put them on and use his shop, so that’s cool.

I think the diesel set may net me the most height. I probably will order the longer control arms as well.

this shows my mechanical stupidity....I only need 2 right?
Yes you need only two :)
And you would want the longer arms for sure if you go w/ the diesel JLUR set as this will net at least a 2" lift vs. the 1.25 to 1.5" lift you'd get w/ the regular JLUR sets.

Nice that you found someone willing to help out too :like:

so if I go with the diesel...will it make my 285’s look too small then?

Maybe a bit, but just look at Rubicons w/ the stock 285s for reference.

Yeah. I have seen that. Rubicon would give me 0.75”. + ~0.25 from taller tire.

The rubicon diesel sits ~1.25” higher than Rubicon. So it’d be approximately 2”

Or if my math is right...no difference from doing a 2” spacer lift.

I am curious about something.

The springs for the gas Rubicons are different from the springs for the diesel Rubicons in one important way. On the gas Rubicons, the springs are taller on the heavier side of the Jeep. From what I have heard, this is not the case with the diesel Rubicons.

How will this impact the Sport/Sahara on which it is installed? Has anyone here used springs from a diesel Rubicon? Please give me some feedback.

There's 2 or 3 threads posted about Diesel JLUR set swaps, lift seems pretty equal side to side, but about an inch taller. I'll see if I can find a thread or two on that.

I think the appeal of the diesel is the height but I think for ride quality the standard rubicon may be the play here for suspension

Finally got around to installing mine. Took only 4 hours and I took my time.
Was following a couple YouTube Mopar fox lifts and just omitted lca and the longer parts and verrrry handy step x steps on here

Also used Daystar 3/4 spacers.
Did not take before just cause I did not remember but very nice

Stock 33s I Believe on gray wheels. Looooove them. Found em in texas and I live in Oklahoma
nice. I think I may do the same rubicon lift with 3/4” spacers and worried that the 285/70’s would be too small.

if I get the springs I want, and the spacers should give me 1.5” on my Sahara. May be enough to run 395/70’s down the line which are 33.4” tires
