Stock - no modsInteresting, it must be the mods and options, as I have the same rig with the same mileage and they were offering 54K this week for it.

The reason Vroom pays more for used vehicles is because it is buying market share. But just because it worked for Google doesn’t guarantee it’s going to work for Vroom. You left out the part about record gross profits and the stock rallying almost 30% on the news. It's not uncommon for e-commerce companies to operate at a gross profit / net loss in the early stages. They need to establish their brand and grow market share first. Once companies hit critical mass and the real market players are established, then they focus on improving net profitability. Just like Google operating at a loss for years while it was competing versus 20 search engines.
I had a similar experience with Carvana when I was looking to buy a used JL, before buying the new JL I now have. Before I got my Jeep, I looked at getting rid of my Outback lease through Carvana, they offered 2k more than the vehicle buyout price. It was easily one of the worst experiences of dealing with a company I have ever had, chalked with misinformation and 4 hour call wait times. If people really want the nitty gritty I can go into further detail, but the process sucked and I didnt go through with it.
I have this feeling the company has blown up and they don't have enough employees/knowledgeable employees to keep up with their business. I have heard other people have good experiences with them though, so it seems pretty hit and miss.
Sounds about like my experience with Vroom. I just finished getting a quote from them for our 2020 Bikini Pearl Recon with 17k miles and in prestine condition. MSRP when we bought it 12 months ago was slightly over $58k. They just offered me $47,460. I had a similar offer a few weeks ago from them. No, thanks.2020 Rubicon JLU w/13K miles. Sticker 60,500, paid $55k. Vroom offered $45k which seems way off from what others have gotten here.
I would be extremely tempted to let them have it.Decided to plug in my JKUR to Carvana.
Paid $34,980 on sticker price of $40,820. The trade in value is currently higher than it’s original MSRP.
Tempted? i would be calling them tomorrow morning to make sure they come get it.I would be extremely tempted to let them have it.
