April 29, 2021 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - With a comprehensive portfolio of Jeep® Performance Parts (JPP) and accessories, Mopar will help power the introduction of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

“With an industry-first lift kit for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, Jeep Performance Parts from Mopar will give owners of the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe the opportunity to amplify the 4x4 capability and the fun-to-drive, open-air experience of the most capable, technically advanced, eco-friendly SUV,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America. “The 2021 Wrangler 4xe is Trail Rated with solid front and rear axles, a full-time 4x4 two-speed transfer case, a fully articulating suspension and 30 inches of water fording capability.”

The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe delivers 21 miles of nearly silent, zero-emission, electric-only propulsion, making it commuter friendly as an all-electric daily driver without range anxiety. The hybrid powertrain combines a high-tech 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack and the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Benchmark 470 lb.-ft. of torque in the Wrangler 4xe arrives instantly on demand from the driver. The powertrain also delivers fuel-saving, seamless, start-stop operation of the engine.

“We continue to expand our off-road Jeep portfolio with more innovative new features, including convenient at-home electric-vehicle chargers for vehicles like the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe,” said Mark Bosanac, North America Vice President, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care. “Across the entire Jeep lineup, Mopar offers more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed parts and accessories.”

Below are select JPP and Mopar offerings available for the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (with Mopar part number and U.S. MSRP). For more information, see the complete JPP catalog at mopar.com/jpp or the Mopar Parts and Accessories eStore at store.mopar.com

240-volt, at-home, electric vehicle wall chargers: The 240-volt wall chargers are available with branding from Mopar or Jeep in hardwired (HCS40 | $621.50) or plug-in (HCS40P | $647.90) versions for at-home use. JPP tube doors (77072498AC | $1,195): Constructed of 2-inch round, heavy-gauge steel tubes, JPP tube doors create more open-air freedom. Production hinges and rubber bump stops are used for added strength and factory fit and finish, while preventing shakes and rattles.

JPP mirror kit for tube doors (77072562AA | $215): For added functionality of the JPP tube doors, the mirror kit includes two side mirrors that provide an improved range of vision during open-air adventures. Available beginning in early May.

New half-door option enhances the Jeep Wrangler driving experience with production styling, security and occupant protection. With lower window ledges, visibility is improved while maneuvering on and off road. New upper-window assemblies – available in base vinyl (AJB) or premium acrylic (AJS) – create a weather-tight seal and feature zippered plastic windows for quick, easy removal. Available in late summer.

JPP front bumper (82215691AD | $1,275): Rigorously tested for performance, durability and corrosion, this heavy-duty front bumper is steel e-coated and black-powder coated. JPP 7-inch off-road LED light kit (82215386AB | $725): Emitting 8,000 lumens each, a pair of 7-inch off-road LED lights provides superior performance without shadows and gives increased visibility for a more illuminating off-road driving experience.

JPP swing gate hinge reinforcement (82215356AB | $625): On the rear of the vehicle, the JPP swing gate hinge reinforcement allows for a larger spare tire to be mounted on the swing gate. The reinforcement is powder-coated black and works with the production hinge for easy installation.

JPP oversized spare-tire carrier modification kit (82215355 | $275): On the rear of the vehicle, the kit provides various spacers to adjust the production spare-tire carrier in order to accommodate the larger wheel/tire assembly. The carrier is painted with a corrosion-resistant black finish.

JPP Center High-Mount Stop Light (CHMSL) relocation kit (82215349AB | $85): The CHMSL relocation kit allows customers to add larger tires on the spare-tire mount on the rear of the vehicle and move the CHMSL to the center of the spare tire.

All-weather floor mats (82215986 | $165): All-weather floor mats feature high-wall, bucket-style construction in order to provide maximum coverage and protect floor areas from wetness, snow, mud, dirt and grime. The black, four-mat set includes a terrain-style surface design and red Jeep logo on the front mats.

Molded cargo tray kit (82215988 | $129): The molded cargo tray kit provides full coverage of cargo area and seat backs. The kit includes a cargo tray for the floor and two seat-back cover pieces (60/40 seat style). The cargo tray is black and features a red Jeep logo.

I'm curious if the fox shocks are valved specifically for the 4xe, and if they would work on a stock vehicle.

Thanks for posting! Now just waiting to hear how people like this lift once installed. I want to put on a lift, but want some reviews first! Too bad they didn’t add in an adjustable track bar

I really like those tube doors. That is a pretty sweet looking Jeep overall. Sarge green is awesome!

I'm assuming this means the half doors will be available separately later this summer? Or are they still a "new order" group option only?

Good list of upgrades. And it's nice to see this stuff hitting the market quickly.

I think 4xe is still too early in its lift cycle for me to seriously consider, but maybe down the road if people are enjoying them. I just don't know if it's a functional option as a primary vehicle, and it's well outside of the budget I'd consider for a bonus vehicle.

The charger is just rebranded Clipper Creek HCS-40. Strongly suggest going for HCS-50 at minimum.

I'm going to assume so. I have these on my diesel, I had them installed at the dealership when my Jeep was stock before taking delivery, very happy with them.

I have the HCS 40 which is 32 amp and also the max amp for the 4Xe. Do not by the Jeep branded as it costs you more money and is a Clipper Creek HCS model. The Clipper Creek is cheaper without a JEEP name on it.

The real question is how much higher is the spring rate? Would we see 3.5" lift in the rear on a standard jlu? Add a 1" spacer up front and now we have a lift that will clear 40's available from the dealer.

If anyone is considering new installation, I would suggest going for HCS-60 for future proof. The batteries and charging capacity are just going to increase from this point moving forward.

Or at least use some thick gauge wires (6/3 AWG or below) for future proof.

You can definitely spend that extra for future proofing if you think an EV in the future is going to happen. I have the HCS40 but I have 50 amps going to it. I'd need to change out the charger and I could potentially change out the circuit for higher amperage. A new charger isn't cheap but increasing amps should be that bad. The question, as in computer video cards, is what else could change in the future that could make all current chargers obsolete.
