Just finished installing. The entire process took about 15 minutes. The upper mounts take a bit of finesse to get in place. My issue was dealing with the little green holders for the rubber hood trim. They protrude into the lower slot area that the silver tab drops into. On a couple tries, I was getting the tab's bottom screw hole caught. Once I got those figured out, it was clear sailing. I couldn't find my 10mm socket, so I used a 10mm combination wrench and tightened each bolt just slightly beyond hand tight.

These things are incredible. It's amazing how light weight they are and yet are easily able to hold the hood up. I was surprised that just one held the hood, as you need to lift the hood slightly higher than where the stock prop keeps it. All in all a fantastic product and well worth the money.

Redline sent me some replacement clips after one of mine unexpectedly rusted out. Sent super fast too. Highly recommend.

I installed a Cascadia solar panal a short while ago, and have various other hood attachments, so the pistons struggle a bit against the added weight now. They still lift (eventually), and stay put though.

@Redline Tuning , what is the load difference between the regular pistons and the diesel?

@Redline Tuning , what is the load difference between the regular pistons and the diesel?
No difference for the Diesel? We do have higher force gas springs for the Mojave and 392 hoods dues to their extra weight.

Whoops, I thought the 392 and diesel took the same heavy hood. My mistake.

What is the weight difference between the Moab/392 Vs. the stock and Rubicon hoods? I've a lot of junk on my hood now, so maybe I should upgrade my struts. Love your product.
