Was originally looking into a Mopar 2" lift but I always hear people just end up upgrading from that and it's just not that great. Thoughts on the TF 3.5" Base lift with 9550 shocks? My Rubicon is pretty much stock with the exception of my 17x9s (4.5 BS) and 37x12.50s, which aren't going on until I get a lift. I have also heard that 2.5" lifts would be more practical with 37s, but in the future I would most likely be looking into a taller lift, so I would prefer to start off with that, unless if the differences are too big. I won't be doing serious off roading right off the bat with the exception of driving on the beach. Pics appreciated.

I ended up with the 2.5" teraflex lift and 37s. If I need more uptravel I can always split the fender flares. I almost got the 3.5 but the 2.5 was in stock with no lead time so I got it and I'm glad I did.

There are much better lifts out there for the same or less money. Check out Metalcloak and Rick Krawler. I wouldn't buy anything from TF anymore.

Here’s my Teraflex 3.5 on 40s super flexible and comfy. Spring rates are super close to stock spring and a lot softer then Metalcloak. I’ve riden in a Metalcloaked JL.

You'll run into a lot of hate for teraflex for various reasons it's always the same people chiming in at least on this forum. I ended up with teraflex and I'm extremely happy with it. Lots of great companies out there.

I've never run metalcloak (why gold? Lol) but I can say rock krawler makes excellent stuff. I've had their xfactor on past jk's 2.5 and 3.5 and you'll get more misalignment and flex from their joints but they also required more maintenance after winter snow and salt etc. If I was looking for max performance I'd happily buy their stuff again.

This time I wanted maintenance free and wasn't as concerned with every ounce of performance. I wanted something that worked well on the trail was comfortable and that I didn't have to mess with. I'm pleased so far with it.

Hard to tell but this drop off is about 3 feet and the back passenger is on the ground.

This is the back side after both tires had dropped off.

I have a 3.5" Teraflex lift with 9550's. It's a perfectly fine lift, and the 9550's are cheap enough that it won't hurt if I ever want to replace them. So far they've been fine, both onroad and offroad.

I also have their control arms and they are good too. The only thing I don't like and I replaced is their adjustable front track bar.
