@chevymitchell, @conFUcius, and I made the 800 mile round trip from North Carolina to Rausch Creek this weekend. @conFUcius got an earlier start and hit Peters Mill Run on the way up.
We arrived at the park about noon on Friday, got our passes, aired down and hit the trails. We ran into a couple from NC that had snapped a rear axle shaft. They needed help getting the axle off the tires. After lending a hand, we ran Crawler Ridge. I don’t remember the other trails we ran on Friday.
Saturday, we ran Crawl Daddy, Trail 11, Trail 20, Beaver Creek, and several others.
Rausch Creek is probably my favorite park that I’ve been to. With that said, the green and blue trails didn’t provide any challenges, although the off camber section on Trail J was pretty intense (29 degree roll to the passenger side). The black trails were perfect for our group. They required you to pick your line and have good tire placement.
Overall, it was a great weekend of wheeling with better friends
I’m sure @chevymitchell and @conFUcius will add more pictures and their perspective as well.
