Hey Kris! Appreciate you using/supporting the channel.

That Winch Guard/Bull Bar is stock on the Recon model. You can find it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog. It bolts right up to the OEM Steel Bumper.

I snapped a quick pic for you with the part #

A Quick Update

Alright, I'm cutting it too close with the mods I wanted to get on Rubi before we start the trek West to Moab and EJS. Covid shipping delays along with the early Spring snowstorm in the Rockies have had several components arriving late and combined with the fact that work has been kicking my butt (thankful for work) I'll be installing mods right up until the moment we leave. For a couple of the mods I will be meeting the manufacturers/installers in Moab.

Tonight I started assembly of the rack I'll be running on Rubi. The Expedition One Mule rack is a pretty expensive rack, but I really love the design of it. Unpacking the parts while getting ready for assembly one thing is clear. The components are really great quality...

Looking forward to getting this installed and tested out. Stay tuned.

Hey Steven. Did you look at the locker sensor potting thread? Just wondering if you had taken a look at yours yet. I’m considering taking mine apart and checking before Moab. Even tho everything seems to be working correctly.

Hi Mike,

I've seen that thread and aware of the potential issue.

Having said that, I've experienced no issues and am of the mind not to go digging. I'm booked at Dixie in Moab for a 4:88 gear install while I'm out there for EJS. I plan on going over this with them and see what they have seen come through the shop.

Let me know what you find on your inspection.

Here's a shot of the Artec aluminum skids. Having gained a 3/4" clearance with them was a huge bonus on the trail. I did use them (contact) on Poison Spider.

I'll post more pics from the install later. Covering EJS has me busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

Looks great, these are on my eventual to-do list as well. With them being bare metal, are you not planning on finishing them with some sort of paint or protection? No rust concerns or anything?

Hey Daniel! I won't be painting them as they are aluminum, no corrosion and they look great under the Jeep.

I'm trying build as light and as capable as possible. The Artec aluminum skids add only 15 lbs compared to the stock skids and give full coverage. I'll do a video review on them soon. I'm in Moab covering EJS this week and that has me jumping. Stay tuned.

Really happy with the new Expedition One Mule Rack. It runs completely silent both out on the interstate at speed as well as on the trail. Looking forward outfitting it with fuel cells, lights, etc..

I'll do a more complete write-up/video when we get in from EJS. Stay tuned for more.

Thanks John, appreciate that! Which BD lights did you go with?

The Artec skids are a really great addition. I was on them a few times on the trail at EJS.

We just got back from attending EJS, great week. Here's a video covering the Jeep display which included the concepts.

I hope you enjoy it!

I went with a set of LP4s Pro for the front with a Mopar bracket, a set of Squadron Pros amber that will replace the stock LED fog lights, a set of Squadron Pro pillar mounts, a set of SP2s for the roof rack mount on both sides, and a set of SP1 with amber lens for the rear roof rack for use as a chase light. pairing everything with a Switch Pro. I can't wait to get them installed.
