My meeting with the specialist that @JeepCares helped set up has been postponed until next week. Seeing the further evidence that it's defeated wth the Tazer is good info. I'll update if I hear more from them.

Saturday I went and did table mesa, on the first obstacle that I put it in 4LOW it grinded and made the harsh noice. I have the Taser Mini, so I then tried the "press the traction control for 5 seconds until everything is lit up and turned off". I then redid the obstacle, no grinding. no noise whatsoever. I tried it again and again. At least for me with the taser mini, holding that button five seconds fixes the issue. You do have to do it every time you turn your jeep off and restart it, but holding a button isn't a huge deal. I am still pursuing holding Jeep accountable for this but at least its a bandaid for now.
Yep! Tested mine today same results with the Tazer Mini. No grinding noise with pressing the traction control for 5 sec until everything is lit up and turned off.

Ok, update. Went in yesterday and dealer confirmed the issue and coordinated with FCA Customer Service. They are bringing my Jeep back in and confirming the cause then will be working with FCA to figure out how to resolve. Acknowledged that it was not "as designed", nor "acceptable " . I'll update when I hear more.

I followed the same steps Stumeat followed and engaged with JeepCares. I was instructed to go down to my local dealer with my JeepCares Case #, which I did. We were able to reperform the grinding, but couldn't come to a solution. I was told that there is no known "issue/solution" and that the vehicle is operating as designed.

While both Jeep Cares and the dealer were very kind and sympathetic, I still do not have a solution.

Would you mind if I referenced your case number?

That's good news! Finally someone admitting its a problem. Lol. Let us know if they find out what's causing it.

I'm dropping mine off today at the dealer for my first oil change and to see what they say about the grindjng. Maybe getting a tazer mini is the easiest solution for the short term.

Opening up a case with @JeepCares as well just in case.

Just throwing my name into the ring so I can follow this thread and maybe contribute. I’ve got a 2021 JLUR, 2.0, automatic. Been “grinding” since the first time it went into 4Lo.
