Bestop Sunrider Review

Thanks for all the real- world comments and pix. I would like to see the underside in a light gray, off white, so the cabin isn't so dark.

Just get a sunshade in a different color to go under the Sunrider. I know it's an added cost, but it's worth it to not have the full sun beating down on your head.

Depends on the shade. With mine, I have to unlatch and then open the Sunrider from the outside. Same for closing - I have to close from the outside. I have enough room/stretch in my shade to latch the Sunrider without issue. This is the shade I have.

A bit of an inconvenience, but I'd rather not have a burnt head.

Seems like these things are priced the same on all the sites. Can deals be found on the Sunrider or is it one of those things where the price is the price no matter where you buy? I'm looking at the 30oz twill.

I just come to a real real low roll or full stop ... release the 2 clamps that secure the SR, and with driver's window down, reach out and grab the front of the Sunrider and flip it back.

Might be hard for a gal to do... but this 72 yo guy an do it easily.... 8-) I'm not that frail yet...

I'd buy from Bestop... no issues with shipping... if you have a problem Bestop, I can tell you from experience is there for the buyer.. Also, unlike a lot of the resellers right now, you can easily get in touch with a Bestop Customer, Rep...

Twill to me is the only way to go... Quieter, looks better.... and if you read over the warranty you will see there is a big difference in the way Bestop warranty's the two Sunrider offerings. SO, yes... the Twill will cost you a hundred more but if you look at the big picture so to speak, you will see Twill is the way to go. Also, in regard to resale, Twill is the way to go..

I have a SpiderWebShade JLKini sunshade and according to limited reviews I have found it will work with the Sunrider, I reached out to @Bestop but have yet to hear back on compatibility.

Got mine installed the other, finally took it out today down the highway and man its loud. Do you think my lights are causing the noise. I also found if you crack the rear windows the sound does go way down. Its going to be nice when out on the trails with the top back.
