I'd like to see some green wheels. I've seen Black Rhino Abrams. Anything else or anything custom powder coated out there?
I had color matched steel wheels on a summer set-up for my green JKR and really considered doing the same when I ordered my JLUR. Ultimately I decided not to because of how much darker Sarge was than Commando. I had the feeling that, especially once the wheels got a little dirty, they'd just look like black wheels and wouldn't really stand out. I'd still love to see them on other folks' Sarge Jeeps though, and I bet especially clean it they would really look great.

Just pulled the trigger finally. Very glad I went with Sarge and the Willys. So fun to drive the two door. Crappy pics but the weather really sucks here right now.

Same build Iā€™m looking at. Much prefer this look over the sarge rubi. I canā€™t stand the red accents. Black and green looks awesome.

Another Sarge Green here! Bought it off of the dealer lot once they cleared the clutch recall earlier this month. The green and black combo are great, I need to do something about the shiny Jeep logo in front of the doors.

Sarge Green Sport Unlimited. I did replace the stock wheels with take-offs from a brand new Rubicon. I am also not a big fan of red accents (i.e. tow hooks, etc.) on sarge green. The Jeep logo accents on the wheels are unobtrusive and I actually think they look pretty cool.

I love my red accents with the green and black.

I used roughly 2ā€x8ā€ strips of thin cardboard (like from a cereal box)and just ā€˜sawedā€™ the letters off. It doesnā€™t affect the paint.

Thatā€™s for my HAM radio. Itā€™s a Teraflex.
Nice! Just looked it up, looks good and reasonable. Noticed you mounted it to lower hinge, video says mount to upper hinge. Do you think it matters or makes a difference? I would like to mount it low also.

It matters a very little. I have a different antenna that is taller also. I put it lower because I rarely have rear seat passengers. It would put of more RF. And I can use my shorter antenna and not have to lower it to enter the garage.

I thought about "debadging" the Jeep logo as everybody knows it is a Jeep Wrangler. I always remove all of the dealer tagging on all of my vehicles, but never have removed the manufacturer's name plates before.

Since I finally figured out how to navigate this forum, (my old school brain at work plus Iā€™ve been busy), I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Andrew, I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and now live in a small town just outside of Toledo. I brought my Sarge Green Jeep home in Dec ā€˜20. Previously I had a 2008 JK for 13 years and 195,000 miles. During the quarantine time over the winter Iā€™ve be working on a historical modification of my Jeep (ā€œHisto-modā€, if I may coin the term). Basically creating a uniform of 30+ parts from the WWII Jeep, to attach to my Jeep. Nothing is bolted onto the Jeep; everything can be installed/removed. Iā€™m trying to create a historically accurate, respectful modification for the 80th Anniversary, as a salute to those who have served and those who have been a part of building Jeeps for 8 decades. Also, hopefully this shows that the current Wrangler hasnā€™t strayed too far from itā€™s 1941 roots. I plan on being a part of the upcoming Toledo Jeep Fest. Here are pictures of my Jeep from day 1 and a few of my progress....

JL 2dr Willys. 2021.
Hopefully Iā€™ll be posting some pictures here soon as the order has just been placed for 2 door Willys in Sarge Green. The wife broke her ankle last year and driving a manual is not as easy any more so this will be a 3.6 auto.
Now the waiting commences.......
