It appears Jeep updated the motor mounts for 2021. Every aftermarket engine skid plate is braced to the motor mount so you have to find one with the updated braces. Also, there have been changes to the exhaust system, specifically where it crosses under the transmission so there are possibly clearance issues to be worked out as well.

Ahhh, I didn't know any of that, thanks for the info! Do you have any skid plates on your 2021 JLR?

LOL, I don't even have my JLR yet! I ordered it 10/5/2020 but due to delays with half doors and then the latest clutch recall I'm still waiting. Maybe someone will have figured this out by the time I get mine!

@Metalcloak any hints as to when a 2021 2 door undercloak system will be available? I'm ready to buy whenever it's offered :D

The front differential is also different, and I haven't found anyone who makes a true skid plate that fits. Rancho says they'll have one to match the one i have on the rear by June. Metal cloak sells a replacement cover with a small armor plate but you also have to replace the track arm. Fun times.

I have a rancho front diff skid on my 2021 rubicon. It fits just fine

The product engineer at Rancho that I spoke with would probably like to talk with you.

I reached out to Dan from Next Venture Motorsports and he told me "We are still working on the update for 2021 motor mounts (they are completely different from the 18-20 models) as well as the 2 door specific fuel tank skid. My best guess is we have this combination ready mid to late April." I also reached out to Dv8 off road since they are advertising a belly pan and front/rear differential skids to put '18-'21 2 door JL's but I have not heard back from them to see if they really do fit.

Yup!
Shouldn't it be? Or is there some weird half year shenanigans going on...
Must be. I bought that same skid plate from Quadratech, and it didn't even come close to fitting. The ubolt was too short, and would've ridden on the bearing even if it were longer. Both Quadratech and Rancho support techs said it's a known issue and a new version is due in June.

Weird. There's still a good inch or two of room from the spinny bits on mine

If that's actually the case, I wonder what else is half 2020, half 2021 on my Jeep? Could I fit the 2020 oil, gas, and transmission skid? Hmm

Are there any diagrams or pictures showing what the differences are? Now I'm worried to buy anything in case I have to return it
