Where is that... behind the front bumper?

Here’s mine after 2 years and 30K miles. Clean as a whistle. Going to put dielectric grease in there, reconnect it and wrap the connector with a few wraps of electrical tape and call it a day.

Do you have an OEM steel bumper with the skid attached? I do. It keeps it from getting wet from road spray or splashes.

I greased and taped it. I’m sure it’s completely unnecessary with the design of the plug now, but it’s done anyway.

Thanks. I literally just picked mine up today so I'm crawling under to do the exact same thing.

Thanks, need to check my 2020 Rubi. I see suggestions for dielectric grease. Great stuff. I use it on my digital relays and bus connections for my LED lights. I would also use Proxicast Pro-Grade Extra stong 30 mil weatherproof self fusing silicone rubber sealing tape. I use it on my external 4G cellular antenna cable connections. Super strong and excellent waterproof properties. on my house.

Combo of spray on and brush on electric tape will do the trick on electric connections. Had to do it on main harness that connects to auto transmission, as plastic housing was shattered with small chunks missing (not Jeep).

I've been having issues with my JKU recently. Huge issues: every dash light on, wouldn't start, etc. Thought it was TIPM, replaced, etc. Disconnected the sway bar last night and discovered the sway bar connector to be full of water. This gave me a full-on panic attack because I'm days away from delivery. Luckily, I fixed it. After some research, this affects ALL Chrysler vehicles with sway bar disconnect (powerwagon, jeep). And Jeep doesn't care.

My delivery is inching closer and closer. I really want to avoid this issue in the future. Has anyone waterproofed the connector? People were wrapping plastic around it but there has to be a better option. For the curious:
Dilectric Grease is your friend! Disconnect the plug going to the sway bar disconnect mechanism, and overstuff both the male and female ends with Dielectric Grease. I had a 2011 Rubicon and immersed the Jeep in water, then the sway bay disconnect started giving me problems.

After a few weeks, I blew out the male and female plugs with compressed air, then used LOTS of Dielectric Grease on the male and female plug ends, and it solved the problem.

For the JK guys JKS p/n 9500 is a cable disconnect conversion around $250 vs. $2200 list for the assembly from Mopar. I don't think they have JL support yet due to Covid. Give them time!
