So, for $75-$80k, do you think that FCA will put primer under all hinges, to stop the inherent corrosion problem?? It should only cost FCA a couple of dollars to do this.
Watching the most recent video from Toledo Jeep Wrangler JL Production - Bing video it looks like the answer would be no. You are not able to see the tailgates being painted but all the door are on when it goes through the painting process and I bet that would disrupt the assembly line too much.

Not good news.
So, 75k-80k for a Wrangler that is going to start rotting in 2 months-2 years, at all hinges, just like the $30,000 Wranglers?? Wow!!!

Visit the Jeep site and compare the versions. The 392 is only 0.8ā€ taller than the Rubicon. Then check out Motortrend article where it mentions the lift and the clearances.
This is odd. Iā€™ve just installed the Mopar 2ā€ lift on my 2021 JLUR and I gained on average ~3.5ā€ over stock Rubicon. Iā€™d expect 392 with the same Mopar lift to be pretty close to that.

Really need to get our hands on one. I can't believe it's the same Mopar lift given the healthy weight increase with the 392. All I have is speculation at this point though.

I saw one on the street yesterday and was thinking, ā€At least BMW hasnā€™t put buck teeth on the 5 series yet.ā€œ. Of course that will happen at some point but at least for now we can enjoy this as one of the more beautiful cars on the road.

As for the 392. Iā€™m of the opinion that if Iā€™m going to have a lot of power, Iā€™m going to bloody well use it. Iā€™ve got a Raptor and I put that engine through its paces regularly (both on and off road). But Iā€™m just not sure Iā€™d get that opportunity as much with the 392. Can the platform even handle that power when on road? We all know the Wranglerā€™s steering woes. IMO the steering needs a total overhaul with that much power. I simply have concerns with that particular Wrangler.
I beg to differ. Last time I had a V8 solid axle rig it was a 16ā€™ G63 back in 16ā€™. 560hp, 562 ft/lb and recirculating ball steering! Thing swayed, leaned, lurched and dived... it was a blast! An entertaining ride, even at legal speeds. Im hoping for all the same with the 392. Of note, the 392 has almost the same power to weight ratio (0.092 hp/lb) as the 16ā€™ G63 with 563hp (0.094hp/lb) and 21ā€™ G63 with 577 hp (0.099)
Chew on that for a bit.

Jeep tunes each suspensionā€™s springs specifically for the Wranglers engine weight. I.E. the diesel specific Mopar lift springs provides the same lift as the 3.6L specific lift springs.

As someone that is very new to the Jeep brand, I have to ask out of sheer curiosity what is the fascination with the 392 that people are willing to dish out that kind of dough?

Since it's coming stock with the 2inch MOPAR lift, I'm curious if they'll have a longer front track bar (non adjustable). Maybe a part people can buy for those that prefer factory parts.

Anybody notice the 392 has Fox ā€œ hydraulic rebound stop(s)ā€ up front like the Mojave?

I'm not sure if that means the internals of the shocks or the Mojave bump stops. Here is the actual verbiage.

The 392 photos have shown normal bump stops. But it would a friggin HUGE thing if they came with the Fox ones on the Mojave. I was planning to put in King air bumps, but wouldn't need to if the 392 had these.

For $80k you could buy a convertible Corvette that you can actually explore the potential of that HP. Another $30k gets you a Lamborghini.

Ahh yes, those new all-wheel-drive Lamborghinis are great at off-roading. Oh, and you missed the MSRP by a factor of 2.
