I purchased my black two door Rubicon in October of 2019 and immediately took it off road. I will list the mods thus far and some pictures leading up to said mods. Feel free to ask questions if you are curious about a part or why I went a certain path. I off-road nearly every weekend and this vehicle is also used for SaR.

5. Taser JL

New wheels:

I went with method 701 in bronze. Having the backspacing of 4.5 was a requirement for my planed lift and mods.
I have had as low as 1 psi before with out popping a bead, possibly due to the internal bead grip.

Problems:

1. Steering box was garbage and I was one of the first in WA to get the steel replacement. This fixed the issue. See my thread on this about how bad the install process was as my dealer installed the old box and gave it back to me saying the new was installed.
2. 4WD stopped working on a gnarly trail and ABS locked my rear driver tire up. It threw a transfer case error. The dealer replaced the sensor in the transfer case and it has not happened again.
3. Randomly the seal between the windshield and freedom tops allow a wind noise. This happened one day as I was driving and can not find the reason why. The dealer replaced the freedom top seals but did not fix the issue. It will go back in eventually.
4. LOD bumper and rear fenders did not work out together and had to cut the rear fenders..
5. LOD rear license plate mount destroyed the paint and was removed. This is the reason I zip-tied my plate to my wheel and now have it attached to the new tire carrier.
6. Frame and axel are rusty and the dealer refuses to repair even after escalation. I live in an area with no salt, vehicle is kept in a underground garage and regularly washed.
7. Trees like to yank the rear tail-light guard. It has been ripped out before. I might remove them.
8. Hyper flash and turn signal light warning due to the aftermarket fender lights.
9. Occasional popping from the hand brake.
10. ??? I'm sure there will be more as we go!

I feel your pain with #9. Mine makes popping noises more often than I care for, drives me crazy.

I’ll see if I can find out what it is. I have to relocate the cable.

What tire size and brand are you running? I am looking at these same wheels.

Really nice build! I was looking at Synergy too. Have you decided between the 2" and 3" springs yet? I'm thinking 2" is the way to go on a 2-door with 37's...

I believe they will end up being around 3inches not including weight on the vehicle. I talked with Dave and he noted that I would want this height for the high steer and to flex out the 37s

Both axels out today to get the trusses welded on. Lift coming soon!
So glad to have friends that know how to weld.

Synergy sway bar connection no longer would bolt on with the truss so we had to weld it on.

Jeep goes in on Friday to a specialty alignment shop to get the axels straight and ensue the rest is in spec. It’s not in any shape to be driven much until that is done.
I ordered 5 37in Yokohama Geolander g003 tires that should arrive next week to get mounted up.

Don’t have a great photo but this is post lift. The 33s look tiny.

37s are on! The door entry requires a ladder 😅

Need more pictures from the side. Also, how tall are you? Seems relative.

I have 37s Mickey Thompson Baja Boss’s and a 2.5 Metal cloak lift arriving next week. Can’t wait.

Side shot. The rear is getting heavier springs to bring it up more. I’m 5’9

Those look huge! Could you measure the spare PLEASE! I'd like to know the overall diameter, tread width, and sidewall width. I don't want the height of the tire with the weight of the Jeep on them, just trying to figure out how I'm gonna stuff those monsters under my Jeep...
