So I have received my build sheet and window sticker over the last couple of days and have noticed something strange with the Trailer-tow and HD electrical group. My build sheet has a line item that says "Delete Alternator" and my window sticker does not show the "240-amp alternator" with this package group.

Anyone know what's going on? Has someone who has recently taken delivery of their JLU with this package group have this same issue? Did you get the 240-amp alternator or not?

Which engine did you choose? The 2.0L doesn't have an alternator.

It still has the 240 amp charging system, just not the alternator

I have a question. I just took delivery on a 21 JLUR (2.0T, no e-torque) and it says it has a 220 Amp alternator and 650 Amp battery standard on my build sheet. I didn't get the tow package. Have they upped the standard one from 200, or does the Rubicon get a middle sized one standard?

That's why. The eTorque doesn't have an alternator. 3.6L or 2.0L.
Hm... I just looked up the Equipment Listing for my 2021 Unlimited Rubicon using my VIN, and amongst all the items listed in the optional equipment section I see:
  1. Trailer Tow and HD Electrical Group
  2. 240 Amp Alternator
  3. 700 Amp Maintenance Free Battery
  4. 3.6L V6 24V VVT eTorque Engine Upgrade I
So if there is no alternator for the eTorque engine, then why is one listed for my vehicle? Am I misunderstanding something?

EDIT: I just looked at the Monroney Label from my vehicle, and sure enough it lists everything I pointed out above except the alternator. Interesting.

If you have etorque, you have a BSG and no alternator. What's your VIN?

I am pretty sure the 240 amp alternator comes standard on the Rubicon. My Rubicon has it and the only options I have is mud tires and color.
