Jimbo... I think you mean the F106SX: New Generation Valve with 14mm-1.5 Threads. That the adjustable flow Fumoto to use with the JL/JLU's 3.6L .. Yes, good choice if you have a skid plate. Yes, adjustable position in regard to flow..

All, JL's and JTs', regardless of what engine, (Diesel or Gas) have the size oil pan drain plug thread size....

M14 - 1.50 order this size Fumoto

When you install, be sure to use the blue colored material gasket that comes with the Fumoto!

When you do the install of the Fumoto Oil Drain Valve, DO, do apply yellow Teflon Thread or some type of sealer on the threads before you do the install.

.....ALSO, DO be sure to use the fiber material gasket that comes with the valve.

good advice. I didn't think of this when I did the installation, so looks like next oil change I will be removing it to wrap it.

PSA: Red Threadlocker is not the sealer you are looking for :)

IF, you forgot the yellow Teflon Tape or sealer no big deal and I would not go back and pull the valve... BUT, if you did not use the bluel gasket, then.... I would remove the valve at next oil change time and use the blue gasket..

Yes, thread locker and thread sealer are two different animals..

Fiber material gasket: I had a blue rubber gasket included. Is that the same thing?

If using the F106SX, it seals on the O rings. No sealer or gaskets needed. I have been using this valve for about a year and no leaks. Excellent product.

Consider wrapping the threads of the Fumoto with yellow Teflon tape (not white) and then installing it..

You MUST use the provided blue washer that comes with the Fumoto.

For your information, the stock JL oil pan plug is washer less.

The Fumoto will probably come with one of their LC-10, locking clips which is plastic. It does do it's intended job but it does come off fairly easily.

Not mandatory, but suggest you go buy a 5/8" hose clamp and use that instead of the Fumoto plastic clip. The 5/8 metal hose clamp has to be installed with a plier and cannot be removed with your fingers... you must use a plier to remove.

You cannot install or remove the 5/8 hose clip with your fingers. I use a Linemans plier to install or remove. With the clip installed, there is no way to open the valve.

I have used 5/8" hose clips on Fumoto's for years.. ... on tractors, airplanes, cars, trucks/Jeeps, Dozers and others...
