Just got off the phone with my dealer. He said, "Parts aren't available at this time." He said maybe available late spring into early summer. But he did say he was speculating with the virus and all. A 2nd notice would come out when parts are ready and then appointments can be made.

Y01 doesn't have any parts, it's only a flash.

Thank you All. And thank you Kaitlin! I was told by my dealer to wait for the letter from NHTSA before taking any action. Not to bring in my 2021 Wrangler yet!
Not sure if NHTSA will issue one since this is voluntary!

There has been prior notices issued for this (and discussed in depth here), but this latest one expands out to dates # of vehicles affected.

Recall notice: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2021/RCLRPT-21V028-2204.PDF

Some 2018-2021 MY Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with manual transmissions may experience overheating of the clutch intermediate pressure plate. Extreme overheating may cause the clutch to fracture.
The suspect period began on August 23, 2017, when production of Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with manual transmissions started, and concluded on January 22, 2021, when shipment of Jeep Wrangler vehicles with manual transmissions ended.
Similar vehicles not included in the recall are not equipped with manual transmissions.
The total affected vehicles for this model is 36,692.
Production Dates : AUG 23, 2017 - JAN 22, 2021
Wow! The JL Wrangler has to be the most recalled vehicle in the history of Stellantis. Over 50 recalls since 2018!

Install the Jeep app. It will alert you to recalls.

Interestingly, this new recall just appeared,

Are you sure? I thought that there had only been eleven or twelve.

Huh? I have exactly three on my 2018, and this latest PCM flash is one of them. Fake news.

I have the Jeep App. Checked my Dashboard and Recall icon and do not see this recall on my Jeep. Is this because the build was completed on Jan 22nd, 2021 and I took delivery on Jan 29th, 2021 and already is programmed with the Y01 Fix?
Thanks.

Thank you. Just stating what the dealer service department told me. I guess that just shows how much they pay attention.

Just 3 on my 2018. Steering dampener and clutch. I took care of the steering dampener with a Fox. My Ford Transit has had 4. Seatbelts, splash guard under the engine, and 2x on the driveshaft coupling.

Not unusual for first model year vehicles. Both my Transit and JL were very early production examples of new models. Outside of the recalls the only issue I've had is delamination of the 8.4 screen. Not bad in 3 years, 41k.

That's what I see too. But it's not so much the number of recalls that bothers as much as the cheap, pathetic (and arguably irresponsible) fixes they come up with.

1. First clutch recall - wiring harness workaround.

2. Second clutch recall - torque reduction PTCM reprogram.

3. Track bar weld recall - take a few very blurry pictures.

4. Death wobble "campaign" - steering damper replacement - bandaid fix.

As far as the pressure plate over-heat situation is concerned, these assemblies should be REPLACED! I mean come on...

Went to the dealer yesterday to finally get the steering gear box replaced. Dealer called me after a few hours and told me they also did a passenger side airbag recall, which I thought was weird since I hadn't read of any airbag recall.

When I got the paperwork it didn't say anything about airbags but it did say the Y01 was completed. This must be what the advisor thought was the airbag replacement. Now if it was actually done I have no clue but it does seem like the revs don't hang between shifts anymore. (I have a 6 speed '19 JLU).

There is something about a Takata airbag recall in the Mopar app. Bottom section after the campaigns.

The flash isn't available yet. The VIN list is ever updating so you will be included.
