Oh yeah, our roads melt in the summer. When I was in forestry school I was working one summer cruising timber. We came out of the woods on a blacktop road and I was standing on the road talking to my co-worker for a few minutes. When I started to walk away my boots had melted into the tar and I was stuck for a few seconds.Ive been to georgia once...middle of summer....the asphalt was melting it was so hot and humid, and i was pulling wire in an insulated ceiling it was 110 heat index outside and over 120 in the ceiling.
