Installed a couple weeks ago. Plug and play replacements for JLUR Halogen and easy install.

BUT, they suck or are defective. Following the wife in the Jeep today, clear sunny day, there are basically NOT visible. I didn’t think they were working at first. I had to be right up on them to see them. Not safe.

Is it just the fact they are blacked out / smoked? No way I can keep these on the Jeep.

What I have:

Any thoughts?

@ORACLElights any help here. This can’t be they intended brightness of these or any brake lights.

I would think the outer square should light up when the brakes on pressed. Maybe install error or defective?

The outer square portion is the running light (comes on with the headlights) the center is the brake lights. As with any tinted lens light the overall light output is going to be cut down considerably for the trade off of dark lenses- especially in direct sunlight as you are demonstrating here.

I've seen them in person before. I thought this guy in front of me was a dick for changing lanes so close to me without signaling, turns out he WAS signaling and his taillights were just so dim that I couldn't see it.

Any plans to make a red non-tinted version?

Yikes. Considering I am in AZ where it is clear and sunny 300 days a year these are not safe. I am pretty shocked how poor performing they are. Can you DM how I can go about returning them direct to Oracle? Much thanks.

Totally understand. You would need to return these through whoever you purchased them through.

I had oracles on my last jeep and had the same complaint. They’re much better at night, but daytime is rough.

I put these on my new jeep. So far so good. Especially for $100. Quake is coming out with a set if you want to get them from a known company, but they’re not released yet and are much more expensive.

I will say, my Oracle headlights are awesome, though!

here are the taillights I got:

0pl] I have the same exact ones, at least once a day I especially on sunny days I get told my break lights are out. I am getting rid of them before someone runs into the back of me. No more smoked out Oracle lights for this jeep guy!!
