May want to check in here. Plenty of people in the know:Suggestions on the best scenic off-road locations in or close to Florida?
Hi Jimmy,Suggestions on the best scenic off-road locations in or close to Florida?
That's great!!! I have not taken delivery of my new Rubicon yet. And my last jeep just really went on trails. I'd be interested in doing some cools trails and a lil climbing. This location looks amazing. Is it open to the public? What is the daily rate? How experienced do you need to be? Thanks man! Look forward to yours and others responsesHi Jimmy,
What kind of off-roading are you looking to do ? And what part of Florida you in ? We’re in Citrus County, and hang out in the Withlacoochee State Forest. Not sure what you mean by scenic off roading, but it’s pretty cool in the forest.........here’s some pics....
Yeah... it’s a National Forest, so it’s free, there’s a couple campgrounds in there that charge by the day or week. That's great!!! I have not taken delivery of my new Rubicon yet. That sucks, sorry to hear that. We live across the street from Withlacoochee, love it in there. Croom is about 20 minutes, pretty cool in there too, but it’s not as good as it used to be, more and more Jeeps coming in, and forestry department is closing more spots off to vehicles. Sad really. I can’t blame people for coming because from here to Miami there’s nothing unless you like mud, I hate mud, but there’s no avoiding it, lol.Man I miss home! I used to wheel out at Croom, Withlacoochee, and various other places in that area. Now here in Texas everything is privately owned so I have to drive an hour+ to find land to PAY to wheel on. Lame.
South of Floral City, East of Brooksville.Where is Croom?
